Bank staff at Teddies nurseries, Streatham 27th July 2010 – January 2011
I worked in the capacity of a nursery assistant helping to care for babies and children 0-5 and meeting their individual needs, and securing their safety. This position also involved cleaning throughout the daily routine.
Hourly pay: £6.50

Bright horizons , Dulwich January 2011 – august 2012
I worked again as a bank staff at this nursery. I mainly worked in the pre-school which was ages 2 ½ - 5. I managed play times, lunch and tea times. This job involved cleaning throughout the day and also toileting.

Nanny April 2012 – November 2012
I was hired through childcare.co.uk where I made a profile. My duties was a nanny to a 2 year old. I had him the whole day so I would have to cook his food, bath time, play time and nap time. This job also including cleaning up and following out the child’s routines.

Sitters January 2012 – present
I currently hold a position with the babysitting agency ‘Sitters’. I attend client’s houses and babysit their children whilst they are out. I have worked from ages 3 months to 13 years in this job role. In this position whether it be a daytime booking or evening, when I can I enjoy interacting with the child/children. Building the trust from the parents and their child. I have learned the importance of communication and time keeping.

Ikea crèche January 2014- October 2016
I currently work in the crèche area in Ikea Croydon over the weekends. I hold a cashier position for the other days. In the crèche I care for children ages 3-10 years old, for one-hour session per day whilst their parents or guardians are shopping in the store. As part of my duty I care for children with special needs. E.g on occasion we have autistic children come in and play and some may need a one to one. I have learned the importance of child protection and confidentiality. E.g the crèche goes by signature to sign a child in and out.

Protocol Education Agency January 2015-June 2015
I shortly worked for this agency. They mainly dealt with primary schools. I worked with children from the nursery class aged 3 up to year 4 aged 8. I supported the class teacher by being a teaching assistant. I would supervise the children and support them with their class work and learning. The class teachers would set me tasks as photocopying, cutting, taking small groups of children to help them with their work and reading.

Tinies childcare agency April 2015 – 2016
I worked for this agency, which would send me to day nurseries and crèches. I worked with children aged 0-5. Supervising them and interacting with them doing activities and playtime.

Paddock Primary School Sep 2017-present
I currently hold a Teaching Assistant at this special needs primary school. The age group of the class i am in is 5-7. Working here i have a better understanding and knowledge of ASD. What i love most about this job is that is so rewarding. Knowing that I have helped a child achieve their target and goals is an amazing feeling.

£12 an hour before 6, £11 after 6
