Hello! Thank you for looking at my profile.
I have worked with children in varies roles for 24 years including being a primary school teacher.
I offer a home-from-home environment and love exploring the beautiful countryside near our home.
I believe that children should be given every opportunity to explore the natural environment ( ie; wellies and splash suits are essential! )
I provide healthy home cooked meals in a relaxed and loving atmosphere. I have a dedicated playroom area and love craft and messy play!
I am excited to introduce my husband, Jon to my team as my assistant:
'Over the last 25 years, I have spent time working with children of all age groups from babies to teenagers.
My passion sits with early years development so I've therefore decided to join my wife Lottie 2 days a week alongside my role as a primary school teacher.
I firmly believe that children's physicality should be developed from a young age and the great outdoors allows to cater for this in abundance!
I am also passionate about music being a part of an early years setting. I have played guitar my whole life and enjoy singing to the children. This always has a positive effect on learning and behaviour, especially when they are tired!
I'm so excited to get started and bring my own energy to grow the setting.'
I have been graded GOOD by Ofsted in February 2023.
My Experience
I have worked with children in lots of different roles for 23 years. I was a Primary school teacher for 2 years and decided that I would like to work with younger children. I have worked as a childminder for the last 10 years in the family business.

'I am a qualified primary school teacher with 13 years experience teaching from the ground roots in reception up to year 6. I've also led teams as a key stage leader as well as leading on music and PE education in schools.'
We also have a 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son.
My Qualifications
I have successfully completed the ICP course required by OFSTED to register as a childminder. I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate, DBS and have attended child protection courses.
I have attended Makaton / baby signing sessions and use Makaton every day.
I have a Qualified Teacher Status. I also have training in: FGM, GDPR, CSE, fire safety, Child neglect & being an early years key person. I do regular courses continously to update my knowledge as a childcare professional.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
From £80 per day full time (10hrs)
7:30-17:30
£17 for after school care.
£12 before school care.

Both my girls have been looked after by Lottie alongside her parents. We trust Lottie and her parents like we would our own family or close friends. From making sure the kids are comforted if they're distressed at drop off to reassuring the parents about any questions they have, alongside putting on a range of activities for the kids in their care, including days out.. the care and communication is amazing. We're so lucky to have found such an amazing childminder for our girls. Lottie will be missed at her local and we wish her all the best in her new phase.

Lottie looked after both my children alongside her parents when I went back to work full time, and they are just the most wonderful family! Lottie, made me feel instantly calm and secure when I first went to visit and I just knew, they were the right family for my girls. I have met so many families over the years that have intrusted their child's care in Lottie and her family and they only have raving reviews to share, I felt very fortunate to get a space when I did, because they were very much in demand around here, thank god I did! One of the big things for me, was to see constant updates and photos on my phone of my girls to see what they had been up to and feel part of their day. Lottie was always very responsive to my messages should I have any questions in the day, or if I had dropped one of the girls off crying, she would always reach out to reassure me when they had calmed down with a lovely photo, this meant the world to me :) I could not recommend someone more lovely and caring to leave your little ones with! We will miss you Lottie! xxx

Lottie has been looking after my son since he was 1 years old and he loves being with her. She has a wonderful approach to creative and outdoor play. She is organised and focuses on different areas of development for the children. It is evident that she really cares about him by how she engages with us, as parents, as well as our son. I can highly recommend Lottie and the fact that my son often doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day proves how happy he is.

Our boy Lucas has been with Lottie as his childminder from 10 months of age to being on the verge of starting school in September. He loves the time he spends with Lottie and the other children she looks after. He has developed so much from the time he’s spent under Lottie’s care, from his language, his character, his confidence, to his enjoyment for healthy food(!) and while we will miss Lottie looking after Lucas, we know she will be able to have a positive, fun and happy impact on other children into the future and we highly recommend her as a fantastic childminder

I want to thank Lottie for being a superb Childminders, to both my daughters. If I could I would leave her more than 5 stars. She by far exceeded all my expectations, and both my girls flourished in her setting under her care. She's so caring and thoughtful, leaving the girls with her was easy and felt natural, as I knew they'd be well looked after and always given delicious home cooked meals. And they had their days filled with interesting thought provoking activities. I would highly recommend Lottie.
