About Me
Hello I am Jennie, I am a childminder in the beautiful village of Waddesdon, at home I have my daughter, who is 4 years old. I am a very fun, loving and nurturing person, I have a home to home setting. I like to get out everyday, whether this be in the garden, on a walk, at the park or exploring the nature garden attached to the village hall, we enjoy trips on the bus to the library and some local groups.
I try my best to cater for all children's needs and have close relationships with parents so I can provide the best care for all children.
Our day to day routine will always be different as I like to follow how the children are on the day. Activities set up each day will always be based around what the children enjoy and are interested in and depending on the activity we will adapt and extend throughout the week. Craft or messy play will also be based on what we are doing in the week, and can be spontaneous.
I provide a healthy and nutritional snack in the morning and again in the afternoon, for the older children I encourage independence by them cutting up their own fruit.
I have plenty of previous work in childcare.
My Experience
I have worked as a nanny for 2 and a half years, along side nannying I worked 1 day a week in a preschool, previous to this I worked as a room leader in the toddler room (2-3yrs) and the baby room (12weeks -2yrs) in a day nursery for 4 and a half years.
My Qualifications
• Paediatric Infant & child First Aid Level 3
• Level 2 Food safety and Hygiene in early years
• Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• Safeguarding children completed designated safeguarding officer training in November 2020
• EYFS SENCO trained
• Full English driving license
• Trained in tube feeding (gastrostomy tube)
• The Prevent Duty in an Early Years Environment
