About Me
I have completed the childminding course and am a Ofsted registered childminder. I have a daughter of eleven years of age who attends The John Colet School and will be available to drop off and collect from any school/pre school on the same campus. I live on Princess Mary Gate right next to the woods and have beautiful surroundings around me with easy access to parks, the outdoors and the woods. I have been childminding since may 2018 and previous to that I spent three years as a volunteer at a school. I also have my own car and have the access to travel in order to attend childminding groups, child groups, parks, farms, soft play areas etc which I plan to do and will have full risk assessments for all activities I do both indoors and outdoors and places I visit with children.
My Experience
I have an eleven year old daughter and therefore have had full experience on bringing up my child and teaching/educating them alongside pre school/school to help them fulfill their potential within their age range required. I have volunteered within a school setting for three years and have gained immense experience from this role.
My Qualifications
I have completed a Level 3 Award in Childcare, a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering course, An Introduction to Safeguarding Children Course and have gained a Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk. I am Ofsted registered and completed the Introductory Childminding Course early in 2018. I am fully DBS checked, have completed the Level 3 First Aid Paediatric Course and a further First Aid Level 2 in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis and have completed an e-learning Prevent Duty course. I have my Public Liability Insurance through Pacey with whom I am registered with. I am currently studying for a Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce and should be finished by August 2023.
My Availability
My normal working hours I intend to work are between 8am and 6pm. However, depending on personal needs I am happy to discuss hours out of these times.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I will charge £6.00 per hour and have specific fees for after school care, School holidays etc which will be shown in my contract and which will be discussed before any contract is signed. I accept childcare vouchers, 2, 3 and 4 year old funding and the Government childcare scheme.

My children are aged 4 and 20 months. I first spoke with Katie when looking for a childminder but felt she lived too far away so went with somebody else. I soon discovered the other childminder wasn't what we were looking for and spoke with Katie again. I live 10 minutes away from work but now do a 40 minute round journey in order to use Katie as our childminder. The journey is well worth doing as Katie is amazing with my 2 children and us as parents too.
Katie looks after the children she minds as if they are her own family. The children all love Katie and her daughter and look forward to going each time. Katie always keeps them busy whether this is activities at home with the vast array of toys/ crafts she has or days out to soft play, farms, woods, garden centres etc. I never knew a garden centre could be made such fun and educational before until my 4 year old told me what they get up to.
The setting is centred around the children. It is very clean with lots of child friendly and educational toys and activities.
My 20 month old was born in lockdown and was the typical lockdown baby. When she went to Katie she had no confidence and would only go to myself or my husband. Not even the grandparents! Katie has worked with her in order to bring her on and she is now a confident bubbly little girl.
My son is a very picky eater and was under the dietician because of it. Katie has worked closely with him following his cues and not pressuring him like our previous childminder. He has tried several new foods recently and widened his accepted foods, this is all down to Katie. Meals are nutritious and fill then up nicely.
Katie follows the EYFS like nurseries do just in a different structure. My 4 year old was previously at nursery but feel for us the childminding setting is more suited to him.
Communication is amazing. Handover at the beginning and end of day is thorough and the added bonus is we get lots of pictures sent to us of what they have been up to
I would recommend Katie to anybody looking for a loving and nurturing environment with a home from home feel for there child/ children
