My name is Hannah Sutton-Edwards and I am an Ofsted registered Childminder.
I am a mother of four children and we live with my husband Marc and our two cats.
My home setting is located in Sunbury-on-Thames, short walking distance of Chennestone and Beauclerc Primary Schools and their associated nurseries (Pomfrett Cottage and Beauclerc Nursery School).
We are a creative family and enjoy all expressive arts, story telling, role play and exploring everything that the EYFS has to offer.
My home setting has a lovely sized garden, which is used every day come rain or shine, to provide hands on learning opportunities based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation) and encourage your child to grow and develop in a safe welcoming environment.
I am a strong advocate for “There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!”
My Experience
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder with full paediatric and first aid training.
I have a BA in Drama and Physical theatre and started working with children from the age of 16.
I have worked in various roles as a speech and language teacher, a learning support assistant for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties and as performing arts teacher. I have also been a children’s party entertainer!
None of this really matters though. What really matters is that I absolutely adore children and helping them develop into happy little people.
My Qualifications
I hold a 2.1 BA degree
I am epi pen and first aid trained.
I have worked with children in different roles for over fifteen years.

Hannah looked after both my children over 3 years and I cannot praise her and her approach to childcare highly enough. She’s always out with the children doing fun things, from visits to places like National Trust/RHS Wisley/Windsor Great Park, to Legoland and Chessington, and lots gardens, parks and playgrounds. Hannah really gets to know each child and what they enjoy, and what they need to grow and learn. Her approach is creative and nature focused where the children are outside as much as possible. I don’t think many other childminders offer the same level of experience. Hannah’s communication with parents is also excellent. Any family would be lucky to work with her.

My daughter came to The Nest 4 days a week for over a year and had a wonderful experience here. The setting is lovely and homely with lots to do and lots of outdoor play, and opportunities to get out and about locally. Hannah would have themes each week with activities centred around these adding lots of variety. My daughter was very happy and comfortable here and I would highly recommend!

My daughter has been going to The Nest since she was 10 months old. She's now nearly four years old and I've always been confident and comfortable sending my child here. Hannah provides a caring, homely environment with age appropriate educational activities for the children in her care. I have loved seeing my daughters skills develop over the years under Hannah's care. My daughter skips into The Nest in the morning and is so excited at pick up time to tell me all about her day.

Hannah has a very caring and positive approach and we have been delighted with how she has helped our little one settle in. Hannah works hard to provide a stimulating environment, and to plan lots of activities and trips to ensure all the children have fun! I really appreciate that Hannah is honest, nurturing and passionate about what age does. I would thoroughly recommend The Nest!
