About Me
My name is Laura Philpott and will turn 21 at the end of this month. I have much experience in Child care (see below) and my passion is working with children and providing fun and stimulating learning and play environments for them. My ambition is to go on and complete my PGCE to become a primary school teacher after I complete my three year degree in which I am currently studying in Early Childhood Studies and specialise in special needs.
My Experience
MY BTEC national diploma took two years for me to complete and during these two years I undertook a 3 month placement in four different settings. These settings included a nursery school, Primary school, Special needs school and a creche.
In my first year of my degree i undertook placement in a Playgroup followed then by a creche.
Therefore I have valuable experience in working with children from 6 weeks up until 11 years old. I also have much experience in new born babies as I have 2 nephews and 1 niece who I spend a considerable amount of time with.
My Qualifications
GCSE, Grade B in child care
National Diploma (BTEC) in Childrens Care, Learning and Development.
BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies At Stranmillis University (2nd year)
