My Summary
About Me
Hi my name is Kirstie, I am Ofsted registered and live with my husband and our seven year old son, I also have three step children. I am extremely flexible to help parents with their working week.
I offer an 'home from home' environment, making sure all children feel at home and welcome. My downstairs is dedicated to the children, including a downstairs toilet. I have a large selection of toys from birth to teens including educational toys to stimulate learning and development. My outdoors is secure and a safe environment with a large variety of toys and equipment for all ages.
I follow the EYFS, I observe children's development and plan their individual needs focusing specifically on the prime areas of development:
Personal, social & emotional development
Physical development
Communication and Language development
I attend local playgroups, childminding groups, soft play, visit the local library, parks and farms.
Both myself and husband are DBS checked
My Experience
I have worked in a private nurser caring for children aged 0-5 years. I have also worked in a preschool caring for children aged 2.5-5 years getting them prepared for School.
i have also looked after two young children at their home as a nanny for 18 months
I provide a learning journey for the children aged 5 and below, which is in line with EYFS, this includes, photographs, pictures and observations
I will work in partnership with the parents and regularly informed of their child's progress.

My Availability
I have full time and part time spaces available.
My normal working week is Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm, but I am very flexible and can work outside these hours to help with your working week.
I can provide cover in the school holidays.
I can pick up and drop off at Castle Bromwich Infant / Junior School, also from Smith's wood School.

We needed a childcare provider at super short notice due to unexpected circumstances, plus we have had the same childminder for 4 years so it's hard to leave your kids when you have built up that relationship! Kirstie made my husband and I feel 100% comfortable leaving our boys (7 months and 3 years old) in her care. They enjoyed being in a home environment and going out to soft play with her too. Our baby carried on like there was no change to his routine (& his weaning) which in itself is a credit to how Kirstie made them feel while in her superb care! Flexibility on drop off/pick up times really helped too. We 100% recommend other parents to use Kirsties childminding.
