About Me
Hi I'm Karen, I have been a registered childminder for 29 years, in my last inspection I was graded good in all five areas. I hold an Enhanced CRB, I work alongside my daughter who is also an Ofsted registered childminder & holds an Enhanced CRB. We have pets, goldfish, 2 cats & 2 Cockapoo dogs
My Experience
I have a 33 year old Daughter who works with me, I have experience looking after young children as I have 2 nephews, and I minded a little girl until she started school who had been with me since she was 10wks & I went on to care for her 2 younger siblings until they started school.
My Qualifications
I hold my first aid certificate, safeguarding children levels 1-3 and I have completed my diploma in Home-based Childcare, SENCO & my training is ongoing.
My Daughter holds a first aid certificate, Level 1-3 in safeguarding children and she has completed her NVQ 3, her training is also ongoing.

Karen is currently looking after both my young boys (nearly 3 and nearly 2). They really enjoy being around her.
She does loads of activities with them, (toddler groups, days out to farms and adventure parks, forest school, baking, crafts). They always have a smile on their face when I pick them up.
She tells me all about their day when I pick them up but also completes a daily journal for them both which covers everything from what they did in the day, to what they ate & went to the toilet.
If the boys go somewhere or do something then she’ll message and send pictures.
She is also very attentive to their needs and will give me any feedback if she is concerned about anything in regards to their development or behaviour and gives me advice and support.
She has become a big part of our family, as has her daughter Jo. I would highly recommend her childcare services!

Karen is the most loveliest caring lady! I couldn't have asked anyone better to look after my son she is loyal, trustworthy and has the kindest heart. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Karen enough, our initial visit she made us feel completely at ease and knew our little one would be safe and well cared for in Karen’s care! She knows all the children inside out who are in her care and goes out of her way to make sure that all children are happy safe and loved.
The outings she takes our little one on will last a lifetime with memories of visiting farms/zoos, parks, forest school etc. Karen keeps us updated on our little ones development through a learning journal, reports, daily diaries and regular WhatsApp messages on our group chat! She is very flexible should we need to change or add days.
We cannot recommend her enough and childminders like her are worth their weight in gold. Thank you Karen we couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after our little princess!
