About Me

Hi, I’m Abi!
I am a friendly, caring and driven person, I love the outdoors and am completely passionate about childcare. I aim to provide a safe and happy environment for children and their parents.
I have a level 3 qualification in childcare, am DBS checked and also hold an up to date paediatric first aid certificate. I have safeguarding training and am constantly looking for ways to improve myself. I have a keen interest in SEN and have previous experience working with SEN children. I have my own car and a clean driving license and am able to travel.
My first job was working in the Children’s Centres across Bournemouth; working with children and their parents/families. Before this job, I volunteered for Barnardos and eventually ran my own under 1’s group at a local children’s centre.
I love providing age appropriate activities and planning for each child’s individual needs.
I have previously worked in a nursery as a baby room practitioner and absolutely adore this age range. In this job I gained a vast amount of knowledge, following each baby’s individual routine and catering for their every need from 7.30am until 6pm.
I have previous experience in nursery and school settings and helped out at a local school throughout my teenage years.
I currently work in a primary school (reception, aged 4 and 5) and have done for 4 years.
I have experience nannying for a family with 2 older girls both after school and during the school holidays.
I am looking to gain even more experience as a nanny and hope to provide a warm and loving environment for the children.
I have a number of references and can provide these as requested.
I also have two nieces aged 7 and 5, who I have provided care for since they were newborn. I love helping my brother by taking them out to local groups, to the library, soft play and out for walks in nature! Seeing them happy is my main goal and I love them to pieces.
