About Me
I absolutely love children and watching them grown into great young adults! My mother was a childminder when I was growing up so I have always been in this environment. She is now a deputy manager at a local nursery where I like to help out on school trips and any free week days I have. I am energetic and fun and love helping the children I care for enjoy each day, whether it's sitting down to have a story and chat before bed or practising gymnastic in the garden!
My Experience
I have been babysitting on and off for about three years, although I have always been in the childcare environment. I have always been described as a 'natural' with children of all ages. I have experience caring for children right from birth as I have had a close relationship with my goddaughter right from the day she was born. At the moment I have children that I care between the ages of 2 upto 13 years old, two of which are on the autistic spectrum. It is important that I am able to do things at the children pace and really listen to what they need, while still helping them feel independent. Although I look after a lot pf different children, I always get to know each of them individually, their likes, dislikes and interests, I like for them to feel I am a friend. As well as babysitting I also am responsible for dropping off and picking up from after school clubs/classes, light housekeeping, cooking and also helping out with kids if a parent is working form home. I feel I am quite versatile in how I work and am able to help out with any task when needed.
My Qualifications
I have no formal childcare qualifications. This would be something I would be happy to look into if needed. I am first aid trained and DBS checked. I am planning to go on some courses this year for child development etc.
My Availability
I am available Mon,Tues, Thurs and Fri weekday evenings from 4:30pm - late and Saturday and Sunday anytime.
