About Me
I am 38 years old and live in Swansea. I have previously been in the child care sector for nearly 17 years and had the fantastic opportunity and experience of looking after babies and children from 6 weeks old to 8 years old. In November 2020 I started my own nannying, childminding and babysitting business based in Swansea 'Laura's SweetPeas'
I am very passionate about working with children and I am a huge advocate of learning through play and that every opportunity is a learning opportunity. I have extensive knowledge of the foundation phase curriculum. I am a reliable caring enthusiastic and motivated individual.
My Experience
In my 17 years experience in a local day nursery I have had the role and responsibility of a nursery nurse, deputy manager and most recently nursery manager. I have successfully potty trained, taught jollyphonic, foundation phase and reading skills and to express themselves creatively.
My Qualifications
*BA hons in child psychology development
*Level 1 in specialized speech and language therapy
*Paediatric first aid certificate renewed in October 2020
*2 A levels & 8 GCSE
*13 years experience of early years
*Registered as a nanny through gov.uk and CSSIW and EWC (Education Workforce Council)
*Diploma in Nannying & Childcare
*Diploma in Baby Care
*Level 3 in Childcare Education & Early Years
*Up to date DBS certificate on request and registered with the update service
My Availability
Available asap, Flexibility when required to work as a registered nanny/childminder/babysitter
I currently have availability adhoc Saturdays/sundays if required with prior notice.
