Hi, I’m Claire, I’m an Ofsted Registered Nanny, I love caring for babies and children and have been lucky enough to do this for many years. We have 5 grown up children who have flown the nest and now have 1 grandson age 9. In my spare time I enjoy cooking meals for family and friends, dog walking, jogging, reading and helping with our home renovations. I do activities with children such as play dough, arts and crafts, board games, baking, Lego, playing in the garden and going to the park/beach/library. I’m happy to go to local baby/toddler groups. Although I prefer to walk wherever possible I do drive and have my own car with insurance that covers nannying. I have some flexibility for earlier or later hours if ever needed. My Experience
2010-2018 I worked in a nursery (baby room) in Westcliff-on-Sea. 2018-present I’ve been a part time nanny for families who had children between 5 months and 12 years old, often while parents are working from home. While nannying the duties in addition to childcare included school drop off/pick up, cooking dinner, children’s laundry/ironing, dog walking, and I’m happy to do light housework/ shopping. Previous to this when my own children were young I’ve been a childminder, Big Summer Read assistant for Southend Libraries and a Bookstart/ Storyrhymes volunteer as well as a volunteer assistant in a pre-school in Leigh-on-Sea.

Claire looked after our daughter three days a week for a period of 4 months, starting when she was 9 months old. We reluctantly had to find other childcare arrangements due to a move, otherwise we would have loved to keep Claire in our extended family!
Claire provided the best care we could possibly have asked for. Her gentle, responsive attitude immediately put all of us at ease. She came up with a range of developmentally appropriate activities, ranging from creative play at home to going to various play groups. Claire was always reliable, easy to communicate with, and an unintrusive and easy presence in our home. Our daughter thrived under her care and their warm relationship was clear from the fact that she would smile and clap when she heard Claire arriving in the morning and (once she could crawl) head towards the door to meet Claire and give her a cuddle.

I highly recommend Claire for anyone that is looking for a reliable, caring and professional nanny.
Claire looked after my twin 1 year olds and quickly became their favourite person. She has a very hands on approach and my daughters loved reading books and playing developmental games with Claire.
I’ve never been let down by Claire and have always found her to be flexible and accommodating. My home was always treated with the upmost respect. I would hire again without a moments hesitation.

We came across Claire on this portal and she kindly responded to my message. She came to the meeting and our 3 year old loved her straight away. Claire is providing drop offs and pick ups and spent time after school with the little one. They always have so much fun. She is fully competent and takes time to listen. Claire is very reliable and I would highly recommend her to every parent. This is someone you need around you children :)

Claire has looked after our at the time three year old son for over a year and he has very much enjoyed every minute that he got to spend with her. He is now five and still talks about Claire. She is a kind hearted and calm person and was exactly the right fit for our son who can be quite energetic at times. Claire always managed to tend to all his needs and took him out on little excursions every day which he thoroughly enjoyed. I work full time and Claire has been really helpful and very flexible at all times. Our little one used to be a picky eater, but there were never any issues when he stayed with Claire. I am a late mum of one and it was hard for me to part with my little boy even for half a day, but Claire has always made me feel at ease and I knew that there could not have been a better nanny for him than Claire. I highly recommend her as any mum would be lucky to get the kindest and most amazing nanny in the area!

Claire is currently working with our family and over the past 3 months she has proactively led on settling our baby (started at 8 months) into a relaxed and engaging routine. She takes a flexible approach to each day and she’s also happy to support with additional duties such as ironing, crafting of sensory items/activities and grocery top ups for the children as and when required.
During the half term breaks, Claire also adapts to engage our older child with additional needs in local activities.
Overall, it’s a pleasure to have Claire’s support and she would be a fantastic asset to any family that she works with.

We have had Claire with us as a nanny to our one year old for just over two months for three mornings a week. Our little boy loves his time with Claire and is always excited when she comes to help. Claire is calm, thoughtful and experienced, which has been a big help to us as she has been our first nanny. Claire is always coming up with creative play ideas too, which we love.

Claire has been nanny to our baby since moving here at 6 months old and our daughter absolutely loves her, as do we. She has been so incredibly reliable and unwavering in her attention to our little one. Highly recommend her!

We had Claire with us for 3 months whilst we were waiting for a nursery placement for our 14 month old. Our son fell into step with Claire almost immediately and had a lot of fun. Claire was experienced, calm, patient and kind. She was wonderful to have around our home and we would wholeheartedly recommend her as a nanny.
