About Me

NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WORK.

I am a warm and kind, outgoing, fun English Literature MA graduate currently seeking a position. My predominant experience is nannying with babies. I have gained 3 years professional experience nannying in London, whilst I have helped look after babies for over 5. Coming from a big family, I understand the importance of family values and caring for each other and I hope to be able to do this as a nanny. I love any form of art including storytelling, reading, singing, dancing and music and I enjoy incorporating this into my role as a nanny. Most importantly, I know that every family and parenting style is different, so I am extremely flexible and can adapt very quickly to the needs of each. I pride myself on providing loving and sensitive attention, and engaging in communication with children to support personal well-being and development.

Student Nannies, three -year-old boy and new born baby (Now 1 year )
• Employed to solely care for new born baby one day a week whilst mother looks after son to ensure that he does not lose out on attention.
• After trial period, asked to continue to come weekly due to ability to look after baby girl very well and warm and friendly attitude
• Able to adapt flexibly to routine of the family that often changed due to having a three-year-old and a baby, reflected in the fact that parents felt comfortable to leave me alone with their new-born.
• Give the baby regular feeds and learnt how to successfully burp a baby with colic, and to soothe her best when she is crying.
• Asked to babysit on some weekends whilst parents go out for dinner, and praised to capacity to look after an 8-week-old (first time parents left the house together without the baby)
• Regular baby chores such as changing nappies and sterilising bottles.
• Playing with the baby and giving her lots of love and affection.
• Offering a friendly ear if mother needs advice and overall being a positive presence in the household.

Student Nannies, seven-year-old twin girls
• Employed as an after-school nanny, picking the girls up from school three days a week, cooking and caring for them until parents returned.
• Quickly learnt and adapted to the routine and daily activities of the girls, such as brushing hair, changing clothes and washing hands at certain times, whilst ensuring that they were well looked after and happy.
• As an after- school Nanny, I made certain that the time was enjoyable and stimulating for the girls.
• Assisted with homework, spellings, and reading as well as other creative tasks such as drawing, collages and general fun activities.
• Helped maintain the weekly schedule of the household, making sure things were in place for the next day for school, and for when the parents returned home.
• Undertook various school pick up duties depending on the weekly after school clubs, reflecting my ability to be organized and quickly adapt to family schedules.
• Overall, established an excellent and loving relationship with the children, and asked to do some extra full- time work over school holidays
New born baby girl (now 10 months)
• Helped look after baby niece since birth, who is now 10 months and crawling.
• When her mother went back to work at 3 months, I did full days of caregiving, including nappy changes, bottle feeds, playing with her, taking her out on walks, reading to her, and successfully getting her off to sleep even when she is resisting.
• Constantly playing with her and providing stimulating activities so she is never bored, but also recognising when she is over stimulated and having a more relaxed time.
• As she has got older, I continue to assist with bottle feeds, and nappy changes, but the day now involves watching her as she crawls and explores around to ensure that she is safe.
• Taken on days out and become accustom to the things required to take when leaving the house with a baby.
• Mostly, providing very loving care with lots of cuddles to make sure she is happy as she can be.
