Hello my name is Baraka, I am 33 years old, married and live in elephant and castle, south east london.
From a very young age I have always had a passion for taking care of people from young to elderly. Growing up in a big family, my love for children strengthened. I have nannied for a many families over the past 15 years. I have also pursued many courses and a degree surrounding the care of people.
I'm not just a caregiver; I'm a passionate advocate for healthy living and holistic growth for children. With my background in childcare and my commitment to nurturing both the mind and body, I'm here to provide your child with a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.
Just as physical health is crucial, mental and emotional well-being are equally important to me. I encourage open communication, active listening, and positive reinforcement to help children express their feelings and build self-confidence.
In my spare time I like to keep active by going to the gym, horse riding , hiking, exploring nature, I encourage these activities in children’s day-to-day life.
My experience has given me the opportunity to meet a diverse community of all ages, race and religion. My family, friends and my lovely families I have worked with would describe me to be a very caring, nurturing and supportive. I am fluent in English & Somali . I can write, understand and speak a little of Arabic. I am currently learning to be fluent in Arabic and British Sign Language (BSL).
