About Me
Hi I am married with 3 children. I have been working within Early years for over 15 years. I have worked as a deputy manager of a nursery and as a teaching assistant within a primary school and have over 12 years experience as a childminder. I have a passion for providing the best care for children in my setting and offer a home from home environment.
I have just finished my fifth year of study for a degree within Early Years and feel the knowledge I have gained improves my practice and benefits the children within my setting.
My Experience
I was a childminder for nearly ten years offering a friendly, flexible environment. I work with the parents to ensure the child’s best needs are met. I have experience of special needs and have attended several courses including makaton.
I left childminding to become a deputy manager of a nursery which I thoroughly enjoyed and it has given me more experience when working with young children. I then worked as an early years teaching assistant in a primary school. I feel my experience puts me in good stead to offer the best care for children. I have returned to childminding as that is where I feel I work best and it is more flexible to help develop the children.

BA hons Open Degree
Cache level 3 diploma in Home based childcare.
City and guilds nvq level 3 in children’s care, learning and development
Makaton beginners and follow up course
New inclusion co ordinator training
LSCB safeguarding children

My daughter loves going to Karen.It feels like yesterday she was 1yo and I was so anxious,almost 2 years have past and I honestly can say that Karen is a second mom to my big girl.She’s learning constantly,loves the outdoors and made friends.Karen provides a positive and happy environment in which my baby turned into the confident and self assured toddler that she is today.Seriously if you’re looking for childcare you couldn’t find a most caring and professional person anywhere.I could go on and on about experience and activities and milestones but the truth is we are blessed and lucky to have Karen in our life‼️Thank you Karen for helping me raise my little(big;)girl‼️We love you 💕‼️

My daughter has be with Karen since she was about 10 months old and has loved it since the beginning. She runs in to Karen's every day excited to see her and her friends. Karen provides and excellent setting for the children, warm and homely where they can learn and play and excel. Communicating with Karen is nice and easy and she goes out of her way to help in any way she can with anything you need help with. I have loved sending my daughter to Karen and even though I am moving further away from Karen I will still be using her for childcare as my overall experience with her has been excellent.
