About Me

I have excellent skills and abilities working with young children; a good team leader, an effective team member. I am able to control situations in a stressful environment; am able to work on my own; I have an excellent partnership with the parents of the children I look after and always show initiative. I have a full UK driving license. I am open minded, understanding, bubbly, optimistic and enthusiastic. I have to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. I am developing a range of academic skills and looking to further improve my knowledge and understanding of childcare, for example, I am currently studying for my BA Honours in childhood and youth studies.
I feel that my past adaptive experience in childcare companies will continue to bring a positive impact, I have listed some of the many skills and attributes I can provide below.
• I am proficient with the computer system, and regularly use this to ensure the smooth functioning of the nursery from day to day
• Hands on approach with the natural ability to multi task as my role was made up of management tasks, receptionist duties, dealing with unhappy parents, ensuring my teams know the plan for the day to ensure an effective nursery.
• Welcoming and committed attitude with a refreshing telephone manner
• Team player being committed to team and individual goals
• Working with a sense of pride with a positive attitude

In previous work experience I have had the opportunity to develop my communication skills and work with people from a wide range of backgrounds. I have worked in several child care environments where I had to respect confidentiality and privacy, ensuring I worked with a high level of integrity. I was responsible for supervising and caring for young children and also responsible for ensuring that all their needs were met. This work gave me the opportunity to work using my own initiative and to become an effective team member and manage my own team. I can deal with difficult situations in a calm and effective manner. I am developing a range of academic skills and feel that I am prepared to work in the care sector.

I am looking to start nannying (out live) from early September- 4-5 days a week.

Currently in the DBS update system.

My Experience

Career Experience
Bright Horizons Active learning Southgate, formally known as- Active Learning Nursery - December 2014- Present:
Since being promoted to 3rd in charge, this role required me to still perform the tasks required of a Senior Mentor, as well as more responsibilities, for example. I support, communicate, open and close the nursery solely with my Manager and Deputy. When I am solely in charge of the nursery I have to make sure the nursery is running effectively and efficiently.
I take pride when showing the nursery to its best advantage during the personal tours that I do.
I mention ROSPA, Growing Leaders, healthy eating, fees, settling in, introduce all staff members and their qualifications.
I have the knowledge of all areas of the nursery and am able to explain in every detail to Perspective parents which they may ask or want to be informed about
I always have new ideas and passion to grow the nursery through new activities and extending children’s learning to promote their development.
I am a good role model to my team members supporting and helping them develop in their roles every day.
I input in making sure we are following the guidelines for our Health and Safety Audit and planning Audit are in place throughout all areas of the environment.
