About Me
My name is Wendy Spiteri and am a local Registered Childminder in Acton.
I am a registered childminder with Tiney who in turn are registered with Ofsted.
I had my inspection on Thursday 7th November 2024 and got the grade of good with elements of outstanding.
Wendy's Childminding W3 has been operating since October 2019 and I have worked in the childcare sector for 30 years as a Nanny, Play leader, Governess and volunteered at schools and hospitals.
I am a Mother of 3 daughters in their teens and twenties who are all in full time education.
I have worked in the UK and throughout Europe and have traveled extensively in my child giving roles and for pleasure.
Reading and listening to current affairs is something I like to do so I know what's going on locally, nationally and globally.
My Experience
I have worked as a Nanny, Governess ,Playleader, Language Teacher and assisted children with online learning and provided educational programmes throughout the pandemic and Babysitter in the UK and Europe from my late teens until I became a Childminder in October 2019.
I have cared for children from birth to their late teens in a home environment and school environment.
I have volunteered in nurseries and hospitals.
I have studied the following courses:
BTEC National Diploma Social Care (specialized in Child Care)
City and Guilds 331/2
I have completed and passed the following Childminding relevant course:
Ealing Council Childminding Course.
Pediatric 1st Aid
Safeguarding
Food and Hygiene
and have a enhanced DBS.
I keep up with CPD courses online and in person.
As a childminder I am able to offer a safe, secure environment, fun and stimulation for your child/children to flourish.
I have a designated childminding room with in my home solely for my childminding setting.
I have recourses for children of all ages to access and will change activities on a daily basis but have themes for them to learn about over a short period of time.

Wet and dry play
Sports in my garden
Board games
Puzzles and Toys
Out door activities such as planting and caring for vegetables and flowers and discovering mini beasts.
Cooking of cakes, breads and making our own slime and dough to play with.
Regular outings to educational establishments, London Zoo, Hanwell Zoo, Hounslow Urban Farm, Kew Gardens, Museums, Soft Play, Playgroups and Parks.
All activities will be play lead with an educational undertones will be encouraged.
I am able to help children with school homework and reading.
I will follow early years guidelines.
Throughout the pandemic I have helped children with online school at EYFS and Key Stage 1 school work from my childminding setting.
I stay up to date and attend online courses through Ealing Council, childcare.co.uk and Tiney so that I am able to enhance my knowledge and intern children benefit.
I am able to offer fruit and snacks and encourage parents to supply pack lunches for children.
I offer wrap around care before and after school @ £13ph and include snack.

Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm Hourly rate £9.50
Daily rate £90.00(8am-6pm)
All other days and times £13.00
including wrap around care before and after school.
Minimum 2 days childcare a week and 6 hours minimum per day.
Full and part time, term time and throughout the year, school holidays, strike and inset days.

My daughter was with Wendy on a part time basis for around 18 months from the age of just under 2. She adored Wendy and still talks about her even though she hasn’t seen her since last summer! Wendy’s home and family are so welcoming, she always made sure my daughter had plenty to do, places to see and new things to try. Wendy took great diligence with my daughter’s allergies and eczema, keeping me informed of how she has managed during the day. When we started potty training, I knew we would have no problems with Wendy and she gave my daughter so much confidence in her transition. My niece also joined Wendy’s setting during the summer holidays and absolutely loved it. Wendy’s childminding is truly a home from home for my children, we love her very much and hope to return in the future!

Wendy is the best Childminder ever! She has been taking care of my daughter for over three years and my daughter adores her! Children are always involved in plenty of activities and outings and I never worry about my daughter with her. She is simply the best!

How thankful we are to have found Wendy! We previously had our little one enrolled at a well-respected nursery. When we moved, we decided to switch to a childminder and so thankful for this decision. Not only does Wendy seem to genuinely care for each child, but she also is excellent at keeping us as parents informed of the day-to-day activities and how our daughter is doing. We are so pleased we made the switch and found Wendy!

I have been using wendy as a childminder since 3 years for my 7yr old and 3 years old nieces, and i got to say she is brilliant. Her home is warm and welcoming with many things to keep the children entertained and is forever bringing new activities and creating a great atmosphere! Wendy has been very flexible with my needs and requirements even at the last minute and made sure to sort things out for me before I start panicking! My nieces love her very much they both get excited when i tell him we are going to wendys. Wendy picks her up from home early to school, collects her from school, provides her with meals even though she has severe allergy, and always keeps me up to date with everything she buys for her or asks me questions relating to her food or medication for assurance. Wendy also drops my niece back home when i need help! By the end of the day both my nieces are tired but they are very happy and excited that they have spend the day at wendys ! I've used nurseries in the past but have found this to be much more better and i would recommend her to anyone!

Wendy is an energetic childminder who looked after my kids for several years. She is flexible and accommodating, always in the look of interesting activities outdoor. My kids have lovely life lasting memories with her and perceive her as a family member ❤️

Wendy has provided childcare for my 2.5 year old son. Wendy is fantastic and provides a great service in all areas of childcare. My son loves going with Wendy and enjoyed his time there. Wendy always provides a fabulous range of exciting activities and trips for the children (such as Kew Gardens, London Zoo, various playgroups, Wakey Warehouse, etc). My son has had gut and food sensitivity issues, which Wendy has worked with us on and delivered tasty meals and snacks. Wendy is without a doubt the best and most experienced childcare provider I have personally used.

You son is a pleasure to care for and is I believe enjoying his time in my setting. His development in all areas is exceeding expectations.
I couldn’t be happier with Wendy being my daughter’s childminder.
I highly recommend her to other families looking for a childminder.
Wendy cared for my daughter for over a year whilst attending nursery.
Wendy used to pick up my daughter after nursery had ended and would care for her throughout the afternoon.
Wendy was constantly teaching my daughter through play and helped her progress in her learning ability with activities that incorporated reading and writing.
Wendy always encouraged activities outdoor be it in the garden or in a local park. Loving nature and growing plants for children to nurture.
My daughter would come home with paintings, drawings and creative things she used to make whist in Wendys care.
Wendy provided meals and snacks which was helpful.
Wendys service to drop off my daughter at the end of the day was so helpful after my long day.
My daughter from time to time is still cared for by Wendy and is so happy to return to her home where she can have fun and plays with others and see Wendy again.
I highly recommend Wendy and wish her all the best as a childminder.
