About Me
Hi my name is Emily Elliott, I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder with all the full and correct training, checks and qualifications.
I live in Hextable and have always lived locally, so I know the surrounding area very well, including most of the local schools. I have a full clean driving licence and own my own car.
My family consists of myself, my husband and our two sons born June 2010 and June 2013. We live in our large 3 bedroomed semi-detached house with a nicley sized garden.
I have a range of many different toys and activities to help stimulate the children in our care, helping them develop right from birth.
I offer a safe, clean, non-smoking, fun and loving home with no pets. Having both a female and male supportive role in the setting allows us to provide a well balanced environment for your child.
I include regular trips and outings to local parks, shops, libraries, and even soft play areas and farms (weather dependent of course!)
My Experience
I have previously worked with children ranging from newborn up to 10 years of age.
As a mum myself, I have probably learnt the most since having my own children and although (as they say) it is the hardest job you will ever do, I also know for sure it is the most rewarding!!
My Qualifications
I am currently home studying for a degree in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Professional Status, aswell as completing seperate courses in Safeguarding Children (Level 3) and also Nutrition for Young People.
I am a fully trained paediatric first aider, as is my husband, and am an affiliated registered member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association),
I have previously worked as police staff for the Metropolitan Police for over 8 years. The opportunity came up to follow my career working for a top London Law firm, but 3 years in, I found myself going through the redundancy process.
Fortunately this came at the right time as caring for children is something my husband and I have always wanted to do and when the time is right we would like to progress into foster care.
My Availability
For childminding my hours are Monday-Friday 8am- 6pm but I can be flexible with these hours if necessary.

My Fees
£5 an hour per child.
This rate is inclusive of drinks and snacks throughout the day, but not nappies, wipes or formula milks etc.
Meals are charged at £1.50.

Emily looked after my two boys from early in the morning before most people would say is a good time to start, but she did it with a smile on her face. She is reliable, trustworthy, very flexible and brilliant with children I cannot recommend her highly enough. The boys really enjoyed spending time there and I felt happy to go to work knowing the children where being so well cared for they always had lots of fun and felt part of the family. Anyone that was to have Emily as a childminder would be very luck indeed.
