Hello,
My name is Alejandra, I'm a 30 years old nanny with +5 years of experience as chidlcarer. I'm caring, patient, engaging and organised with children. I truly love my job, nurturing children curiosity and being able to support both families and children development makes it so rewarding.
My approach: I like to creare a safe, warm and nurturing environment to engage them in fun activities to explore and learn. I also think that keeping routines, compassion and setting boundries with kids are very beneficial for them. But I do always adapt to any parenting style, and provide the best consitency possible for the kids.
My background: While I was studying my university degree in Humanities, I worked as a private tutor for teenagers (English, Spanish, etc.), and babysitted for different families during 3 years. Then, I moved permanenetly to Edinburgh in 2018. With the idea of taking best care of children, I studied a Master’s in Child Psychology, and I am currently studying the CACHE L.3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
My interests: I like to keep an active lifestyle, practice yoga, hiking, exercise and cycle on regular basis. I also love travelling and discovering new cultures, specially with my two brothers.

My Experience
+5 years of experience as chidlcarer (from 8M- 11 y.o). I worked as a private tutor for teenagers (English, Spanish, etc.), and babysitted for different families during 3 years in Barcelona. Then, I moved permanenetly to Edinburgh in 2018. I've been working as nanny full time for the last 2 years and half, caring for an addorable premature newborn, toddlers, twins and children aged 5 and 7. I've been taking care as sole charge nanny, as well as mother-help, babysitting at nights, preparing meals, organising outdoor and indoor activities.
I love working as a nanny, I am a proactive person and I always plan activities that encourage their development. I like to create a safe, warm environment to engage them in fun activities. If its a dry day, I would definitely take them out to enjoy together and have fun. If its a dry day, I would definitely take them out to enjoy together and have fun outside by exploring the zoo, parks,... Otherwise, I like to read stories with them, building lego,puzzles or attending the coffe parties with their dolls.
For the best care of your kids, I obtained a Master’s in Child Psychology, currently studying the CACHE L.3 Childcare & Education, Paediatric 1st Aid, nutrition and chidlcare qualification to ensure your children's safety.

Alejandra is a brilliant nanny. She has looked after our two children -mainly our little one -for the last 6 months. My children love her, and it feels like she is one more of the family. She is very kind and thoughtful with the whole family.
Alejandra is very responsible, loving, and engaging. I would highly recommend her. As a mother, I trust her completely with my kids.

Ale looked after our 3.5 year old twins three days a week during the summer holidays. She was absolutely brilliant at keeping them entertained. They had the best time! Every day Ale came up with activities and visits for our kids. We loved receiving the photos of them beaming with joy. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ale.

I can't recommend Alejandra highly enough. She was with our family for over a year and a half (2022/2023), caring for our two young children with tons of kindness. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, easy going, and always brought a joyful energy to our home. She engaged the kids with creative and outdoor activities, take them to the park, library, museums... any interesting activity that she proactively looked for them. Her patience and genuine affection for our children were evident in every interaction. Alejandra is so dedicated to her role looking after children, that you will feel happy to have left your kids in her hands!
