I am Simona, I am a preschool teacher and I run a small Ofsted registered childminding setting
My Experience
I offer a cosy, welcoming and loving setting where children receive tailor-made support in order to meet their individual needs; with indoor and outdoor space, providing an enabling environment that benefits children’s learning and development.
All children are listened to, encouraged and motivated in order to achieve best outcomes.
As a pre-school teacher I know how important is the child’s early years of learning and development. Therefore all activities are planned in order to support prime learning areas and build up a starting point on literacy, maths and understanding the world that will prepare them for school in a play based approach.
Outdoor play is a huge part of our daily routine encouraging children to explore the natural environment, helping them in their physical health development, understanding the world and self-confidence.
Inspired by “The Curiosity Approach” (an approach to early childhood that takes inspiration from Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner and Maria Montessori) I put the child at the centre of their own development and education. I use natural and everyday items to encourage children’s curiosity and enthusiasm to explore and create.
Observations and next steps are recorded on Tapestry, a secure online learning journal where parents can see pictures and videos of our activities. It is also in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to build up a record of your child’s experience during their time with us.

I have no words to thanks Simona! She is the best, loving, protective teacher I have ever seen, my son feels at home with her! She is always with a smile on her face and has a positive attitude! My son love her and we are very happy with the evolution of our son.
She do different activities with children such as :
Morning stories based on the learning topic.
Phonics activities using flash cards, songs and actions.
Fine motor skills activities such as sewing, laces and zippers.
Painting based on stories and learning topic.
Yoga sessions and mindfulness.
Weekly arts and crafts.
Messy play
Tuff trays, invitation to play, small world based on learning topic.
Mathematic concepts using blocks and building activities.
Occasional cooking and problem solving activities.
Outdoor ball games and physical activities.
We highly recommend her is a professional in what she does!🥰

My son has been in full time care with Simona now for a year. He started when he was 8 months old. I was really worried about leaving him to go back to work full time but having Simona has made it so much easier. She looks after him so well, he is always happy when he is with her and has learnt so much in the year under her care. At 18 months old she had taught him to count to 10 and he now knows most of his colours! He loves spending time in her garden, playing and singing songs with her and the other child in her care. He has so much fun with her and gets excited to go to her house in the morning! Unfortunately we are moving so will have to find him new childcare and I am certain we will find no one as good as Simona. I work as a doctor in hospitals so my work can sometimes overrun, Simona has been flexible with my sons hours and I always know that even if I am late home from work he will be happy having fun with her! We struck gold when we found her to look after our child. I am more than happy to speak to anyone considering using Simona for their childcare and recommend her unreservedly. You will not find anyone better!

I met Simona just over a year ago. She as been looking after my son who is now almost 2. She is amazing at what she does, does some of the most creative activities with him. He learning so many new skills and becoming a bright and brilliant toddler thanks to Simona.
What makes it even better she loves her job and puts so much effort into making sure he safe, comfortable and well fed. My son is always happy and excited to go there and enjoys himself to the fullest. I always pick him up with the world biggest smile on his face sometimes he doesnt want to leave.
