About Me

Hello to you all!,

My name is Claudia, I am a 24 years old girl looking for a job as a nanny. I am very active, responsible, happy, highly motivated and with a strong work ethic, skills that I consider key for this job.

Regarding education… I have attained a first class honours degree in Business Economics at the university of West London and a 2:1 in the master of International Management at Kings College London.
I also speak Spanish (native) and italian (full proficiency)

My Experience

It's been over five years since my first nanny job! the time just flew! how incredible.

I've basically worked for two families in all this time, both full and part time. When I started to work with the first family the mum was in maternity leave for two more weeks so we had time to go over everything that she thought it was important. After, I had the sole charge of a 8 weeks baby! With this job, I gained experience with newborns, including sleeping training, transition to solid food, healthy meals etc. I also faced some challenges such as the changing sleeping routines or how to manage tantrums.. I know all about it now. In this family there also was an older sister that back at that time had turned just 3. Even if she was at nursery during the day, I used to take her out to playdates, playgrounds and museums after nursery or in half term.
Now the little one has 3 and the older one has 6! during that time we both learned from each other, being a nanny is all about love, patience and constant learning. As a nanny, I think it is very important to have the ability to say sorry, to listen, to play, to put interest in their activities, to actually care about how they feel and what they think about everything going on around them. I am firm when I need to or when we are in front of a dangerous situation (like crossing roads), but in general, I try to show them the reason behind why I am saying what I am saying rather than just saying an order.

My second family was part time, again, there was two children aged 3 and 6. My job was to take them to school, pick ups, shower, playing and dinner time as both of them were attending nursery and school. However, here I supported them with their learning from home during the pandemic. I had to multi-task, teacher, nanny, chef etc. and It was rewarding. The face that a kid puts when he/she understands something is incredible.

What is really important for me is to set the agreement with the family in the first week, I will be doing whatever the family thinks that is the best for their children without a question, however, I would also like support from their side. I would like to form a team with the family as I've done before, with communication and openness as a base.

Thank you so much and hope you get in touch!
