About Me

I take great pride in my personal appearance, ensuring that I always arrive at work looking presentable. I have gained excellent communication skills and patience throughout my work. I would appreciate the opportunity to bring my knowledge and positive attitude to you. I am willing to learn and show my passion for childcare and I am a kind, trustworthy, caring and creative person who enjoys working with children. I have worked in childcare for the past 8 years, working in a nursery and nannying along with frequent babysitting, especially of past nursery children. I feel that it is very important to build strong bonds with children and their families as over the years, I have built many strong bonds that I still continue today. I have experience working with babies, toddlers, preschoolers and teenagers. I am very creative and enjoying making activities that are educational and based on the children’s interest so that they find them enjoyable to participate in. When working with younger children, I enjoy doing lots of creative activities as well as sensory play and will base activities on the child interest. I also enjoy outdoor activities and planning days out that are age-appropriate and can have great educational benefits as well as, long, lasting good memories. I also enjoy cooking and have cooked for children over many years that have multiple different dietary requirements and are of different ages so am easy to adapt. I also hold a level three in childcare and I’m first aid trained with an up-to-date DBS on the update system.

My Experience

Experience:

I currently nanny each evening from Monday- Friday, looking after the children at home and taking them to their individual actives as well as doing homework, baking, playing games and spending time together. I am in charge of the children wellbeing and prepare nutritious home made meals for them as well as take care of their personal needs. Negotiators contact centre- Contact supervisor ( January 2023- Current)
I work in a family contact Centre, my main job is assessing families and children as they have their contacts while in the Centre, the community or while at home ensuring each contact is a safe environment that follows the court order. I ensure to write detailed reports based on what the contact consisted of and ensure to send all reports in after being well read through on time. I work with parents and children of all ages from babies to teenagers and feel that each child and parent needs support through this difficult process. I like to be comforting to all the families while I work alongside them and try to offer a pleasant experience to the children involved.

I worked as a contact supervisor, I sat in contacts with parents/guardians and the children involved and write a report based on the contact, looking out for key points that are stated within the booking sheet, I enjoy working with the families and have build good relationships throughout the contacts with the children, I ensure to write and read through reports before sending them off and write cancellation forms in the case of a cancelled contact. I did both centre contacts using the rooms provided in the centre and I also did community contacts where I would go out into the community with families, as I took notes then write up the reports once I was back.
