My name is Grace, i am 28 Years old and currently have 10 years of experience working with children with Special needs from the ages of 3 to 19. I am very pro active and fit and love to encourage and provide excellent care and fun for all children that i work with. Im used to working in stressful/manic situations and thrive on it!
I am an enthusiastic, flexible, bubbly and happy individual who is easy to adapt and learn things quickly.
I hold a Level 2 Makaton qualification and am currently employed in a special needs school in Tunbridge Wells within the KS2 department. I am looking to relocate my job as i have just moved to Maidstone.
My Experience
At the weekends and during some school holidays i do some private care work for a family of a 18 year old who has profound ASD, who is a pupil at the school i'm at currently. I have worked with the family for just over 5 years now.
I have also worked for a charity summer camp for 3 years every summer holidays with children and young adults with special needs.
I was responsible for planning days out and would often be in charge of up to 10 individuals at one time.
I am happy to do some light housework and can cook healthy meals if needed.
I am confident to spoon feed, and do any personal care that is needed. I can follow any specific needs you may require.
I have Training in moving and handling,confidentiality, safeguarding, epilepsy, sensory circuits,autism and Team Teach. I have many years experience in working with children of a wide range of ages and abilities and i also hold a current and clean CRB check and my DBS is on the online update service.

My Availability
I am looking for a full time position or 4 days (whichever days are most desirable to you) and can be available for some evening babysitting.
