About Me

Hello, my name is Beth and I am 24-year-old Nanny around Lincolnshire area, I am a bubbly girl who enjoys swimming, Pilates and Yoga. I enjoy travelling with my family and friends, I like to ski and have always loved working with children. I have over 4 years’ experience as a Nanny and over 3 years’ experience working in educational setting with children aged 0-8 years. I trained to a high level at swimming, competing at District level with my swim team, as well as competing at Nationals for rock climbing. I used to live in Denmark with my family and attended a Danish speaking school where I spoke, read and wrote Danish fluently.

My Experience

In my current Nanny role, which I have been working with the family since September 2022, I have sole care of 3 girls, (youngest since birth, middle child since 16 months old and oldest since age 4). I have the youngest child (16 months now) full time and the other girls are at school and nursery in the week, where I also help with school pick-ups and drop offs. I care soley for all three girls during the school holidays and during this time we enjoy going out to activities such as swimming, soft play, farm parks and aquariums. As a nanny, my roles include supporting the children with their developmental milestones such as toilet training, setting up fun and engaging activities for them and ensuring their school learning is completed at home. Throughout the week, I will take the youngest child to various groups, classes and activities to stimulate her learning and development, we engage in a different type of class each day such as music, sensory play and outdoor exploration. Further to this, I have weaned the youngest child onto solids and supported her with her important milestone such as crawling, babbling and sitting. Other nanny duties I take on for the family include; keeping the house tidy and clean, laundry, food and meal preps and taking care of the children’s schedules and other extracurricular activities. I have my own car and often drive the girls around to various activities as well as school. Within my current role, I have also travelled with the family and provided childcare for them overseas on holiday. Prior to this role, I nannied for two children (2019-2021) from ages 16months- 3 years (girl) and 3-5 years (boy) alongside the mother, providing similar services to my current role. I am a qualified EYE (Early Years Educator) with my Level 3 Children’s Learning, Play and Development qualification as well as being trained in supporting and teaching children with Special Educational Needs (Level 2). I have completed other relevant qualification to support my Nanny roles such as Food Hygiene, Manual Handling, and Paediatric First aid Level 3 (2022). Further to this, I am well versed in the Montessori teaching method as having completed a student placement here whilst studying.

Previously, I have worked as a Deputy Manager and Room Leader (0–3-year age group) at a Curiosity Approach setting, where I took on the role as Deputy Manager after 2 months working as an Early Years Practitioner, as well as a Senior Practitioner role being the Room Leader for the 2’s class. Whilst in this role, once per week, I took on the role as Manager of the nursery and being sole charge on two nursery sites for ages 0-11 years. My usual working roles daily would include being the main class practitioner for children aged 2, ensuring I plan, track and assess the children individually on their current targets and development pathways, I also supported a child with various additional needs such as development delays and Autism twice a week, being his key worker and worked closely with the parents. I am a hardworking, passionate individual who demonstrates good soft interpersonal skills as well as managerial skills such as administrative work and organisational skills.

I have previously worked as a Rock-Climbing instructor for 3 years, taking on various roles such as teaching children, adult and special needs classes. I was responsible for safeguarding the participants, equipment safety checks and delivering classes ranging from beginner to advanced and tailoring my classes to each participant’s specific needs and requirements.
