About Me
Hi my name is Chris and I live in a large detached house in Burry Port, I have been a Registered childminder for 36 years with 2 assistants. We are open from 8 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday, I am registered with CIW and inspected by them. I am also a member PACEY and insured by them, I have been a National Policy Forum Member for NCMA for 4 years from 2006-2010, I then became NCMA Chair Cymru from 2010-2011.
I offer creative play and fun for up to 11 children 0-5, 5-7 and up to 14 years old, and provide before and after school care and school holidays.
The indoor area is a suitable environment for both Care and Education within a home like setting, the outside secure area is available at all times to the children which is decked with a large play house, fully equipped with a range of age related toys.
My aim is to help children build a foundation for life by developing confidence, inquisitive and enquiring minds with good social skills in utilizing a wide range and variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
As I accept sole responsibility for the setting of the children placed in my care, the Management structure is entirely down to how I want it to be. We have a good working relationship with the Schools that my minded children attend, making the transition easy when the younger ones start school.
Anybody wishing to visit my setting is welcome at any time.
I am fully covid vaccinated, including boosters.
My Experience
I have been a Registered Childminder for 36 years during which time I have looked after many children.
I attend as much training as I can, I think that this is very important to my work as a Registered Childminder.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£40 per day
£15 per day before and after school
I also take childcare vouchers and the government tax free childcare scheme

Chris is a wonderful lady and has been minding my daughter since 2016. Chris is the most reliable and punctual person I have ever met.
My daughter is always given choice in regards to activities, meals and equipment. Nothing is ever a problem. Chris and family are kind, welcoming, compassionate, caring and fun!
I am forever grateful to have found Chris and family through this website. Highly recommend!

I'm so very pleased to have found Chris, it was very hard returning to work and having to leave my youngest but Chris is the grandmother type figure that every child needs :) My little one is loving every second of their time in a safe, warm and loving environment. I'm delighted :)

As a mum of 2 i understand the importance of finding a childminder who will take the possible care of my kids and whom i can trust, so when i found chris and her family all my prayers were answered.My son was 9 months when he started with chris ,it was hard to leave him but i knew i was leaving him in the best place.Chris provides a warm ,loving, fun service one that i would compare to that of a grandparent.i see all the children in her care and they all love her and her family and as parents we all have an excellent relationship with her and she always communicates well with us about the children and how they have been and spent their day. I highly recommend chris as a childminder .
