I have lots of energy, I’m happy being outside in most weathers when well equipped! I swim and enjoy yoga in my spare time as well as walking the family dog and cats. I have a keen interest in cooking healthy and nutritious food. I would like to explore yoga for children as my next professional development goal.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for 12 years in a childminding setting both as an assistant and as a lead childminder. Over the past 12 years I have completed Levels 2 and 3 NCFE certification in supporting teaching and learning in schools (0-19) and Level 4 NCFE certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner. I regularly complete professional development workshops to keep myself up to date with current practices including First Aid and Safeguarding.

Outdoor play is big on my agenda and I always ensure children have ample time to be in nature exploring, climbing and developing a responsibility (and love) for our environment and the seasonal changes.
I take children to clubs in the wider community to interact and play with other children as part of their ongoing development.
At the City Farm children in my care have an opportunity to see animals up close and learn about their different characteristics, behaviours and gain an understanding of life on a farm, growth, lifecycle, plants and the food we eat.
I have experience of newborn
babies and I am a mother to a 16 year old.
