My Summary
About Me
Ofsted rated - OUTSTANDING
My aim is to provide a welcoming, caring environment for your child and to become a home away from home while they are with me. I provide fun and interesting activities to engage your child covering all areas of the EYFS, for example, I have a mud kitchen in the garden and encourage sensory, messy play. Activities are a happy mix of planned and child led, all based around your child’s individual needs and interests. I aim to provide an inclusive environment for all and encourage independence.
I believe learning through play is vital for a child’s development and I ensure that each child has ample time to explore, play and be physically active.
I’m a creative person and love to use this to influence my planning, from arts and crafts, cooking and dress-up fun. I also enjoy being outdoors and encourage outdoor learning as much as possible.
All meals are planned in advance and I cook with fresh ingredients to minimise waste and to promote a healthy lifestyle with special dietary requirements catered for. We love to bake as a family and I will have planned weekly cooking activates for your child to engage in-for all ages.
I am trying to do my bit to help reduce waste in the home. I use naturally homemade cleaning products as much as possible. I believe teaching the next generation to look after the world today will save their futures and I actively promote this in my setting.
My Experience
I worked for several years in a Nursery as a Nursery teacher and whole school coordinator, before becoming a Mother myself to my two wonderful children.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE NNEB qualification, CACHE level 3 in Home-based Childcare and a level 4 in Childcare Management.
I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Basic Food Hygiene. To continue my professional development I attend relevant courses (such as Safeguarding) and relevant online training.
