My Summary
About Me
I adore children and I would be delighted to be given the opportunity to be a helpful asset to your home life.
I have a 12 year old brother and through him and his friends, I realised my love of children.
I am a non-smoker with a full UK driving licence and my own car.
I am an avid reader and believe heavily in reading to children, as it supports correct cognitive development, along with an expansive vocabulary. I believe in the importance of child led learning and play, with appropriate guidance and encouragement. I am fully prepared to follow a preferred parenting strategy, however I am also open to providing guidance and information.
I enjoy cycling and nature and spend a great deal of time outdoors. I adore animals and therefore would be fully comfortable with any pets. I am fun and bubbly with a good imagination and through this I am able to make the time with me enjoyable for children of all ages.

My Experience
I have 7 years experience working with children from birth to 11. I have worked in a domestic setting, a nursery setting and an educational setting. I have worked around the city with children of different abilities, religions and with different dietary requirements. I have experience with SEN/D children, with a full understanding of their needs, thanks to my university course.
I babysat a family’s 4 children for 3 years, which allowed me to develop skills with children from different age groups as the children ranged from 1 to 10. They will be more than happy to provide a full reference and recommendation.
Whilst at college I did a placement in a year 1 class for several months, which I throughly enjoyed. I learned valuable skills from professionals with years of experience. It was this experience that led me to study a degree in Education Studies and Early Years, of which I graduated from in 2021.
I worked in a nursery with children from birth to 3 for 6 months, only leaving due to travel time. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and learned to apply my theory to practice. I also did safeguarding training there in a variety of areas. They would also be more than happy to provide a full reference.
I have been a supply teaching assistant for several years with different agencies. I was sent across the city, working in both the EYFS and primary schools. They would also provide a reference.
I have been working in a nursery as a Senior Practitioner with children aged 8 months to 2 for a few months. They would also be available for a reference.
It is courtesy of my college diploma and my university degree that I have learned many theoretical approaches to childhood and I am able to provide a high level of care to children of different ages and abilities. My personal tutor at university would be more than happy to provide a full written reference attesting to my character, ability and attendance.
As I am sure is evident, I have both the experience and educational backing to correctly support parents, particularly those who are unsure. I feel this would make me a beneficial addition to any family, providing advice, care and time.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 in Health and Social Care with grades DDM specialising in children and young people.

I have Level 2 Advance Safeguarding, Protection and Prevent certificate and I am fully DBS checked.
