I am a 28 year old, warm, energetic, loving and trustworthy young woman. As the eldest of 21 grandchildren, I have grown up caring for and interacting with my younger siblings and cousins; childcare comes very naturally to me. In my most recent position I worked with a family of four who had recently moved from London to the West End of Glasgow.
I was able to create a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment for their children and have an excellent reference available. I am available weekdays and weekends.

My Experience
My most recent childcare position I held ended on 6th September 2018. I worked with a nuclear family mum, dad and 2 kids who had just recently moved from London to the West End of Glasgow. I started in this position November 2017. When i started with them the oldest girl was 7 and the youngest boy was just 14 months. My responsibilities included being there from when they wake up; preparing them a nutritious breakfast, getting the oldest ready for school and then taking the oldest to school. The day continued with taking the youngest boy to a playgroup, planning out fun and educational activities for him to engage with whether that be in the home or out in the community, preparing his lunch and then picking his sister up from school again. I would then make them their dinner in the evening along with some outdoor activities, board games or baking. Both children responded well to these activities and the support and care I provided. They were happy to see me day to day when I came to care for them.
I am passionate about working with children, I enjoy being able to teach a child something new. Watching the kids develop from babies to young kids. The ability to be able to give the children I care for the opportunities both indoors and outdoors to develop their own interests and personalities. Building a relationship with the kids is fundamental so they can feel secure and also be able to have fun with you. I am able to build a relationship with a family and understand a child's needs, ensuring that they feel and are safe, secure, nurtured and included.
