My Summary
Child Protection Social Worker
About Me
Hello! I’m 27 years old and currently work full-time as a Child Protection Social Worker and reside in the High Peak in Derbyshire. I’m passionate about supporting children and families, and I bring a high level of experience and expertise in safeguarding, education, and special educational needs (SEN).
I wish to stress that my role as a social worker and often the stereotype this brings, does not represent me as a person. I would hope that from any initial discussions we have and any face to face meetings, you will recognise that I am a warm, compassionate, fun and engaging individual who quickly builds trusting and loving bonds with both children and family members.
With years of professional experience working closely with children of all ages and backgrounds, I understand the importance of creating safe, nurturing, and inclusive environments. While I don’t have children of my own, my role has given me deep insight into what helps children feel secure, valued, and confident.
I’m friendly, reliable, and flexible with travel depending on your location. Whether you’re looking for occasional support or more regular help, I’d love to hear from you to see how I can meet your family’s needs.
My Experience
I currently work as a Child Protection Social Worker, supporting children and young people from newborns right up to age 18. My role involves working closely with families, schools, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children in a wide range of circumstances.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Early Years and Childhood Development, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in child development, education, and safeguarding practice.
In addition to my professional role, I have hands-on experience in both primary and secondary schools, as well as early years settings, where I’ve supported children with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Outside of formal roles, I’ve provided babysitting support for families and have personal experience as part of a foster family, which has deepened my understanding of the challenges and rewards involved in caring for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
This combination of professional knowledge and personal experience means I’m confident in supporting children of all ages and backgrounds in a safe, nurturing, and responsive way.
My Qualifications
MA degree in Social Work – Qualified Social Worker with professional registration
BA (Hons) degree in Early Years and Childhood Development
Extensive training in safeguarding and child protection (including working with high-risk and vulnerable children)
Experience and knowledge in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Up-to-date DBS check
Familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), primary and secondary education frameworks
Ongoing professional development through my current role as a Child Protection Social Worker
