About Me
Cheeky Monkeys Childcare has been running for 17 years from my home in bishops Waltham. I am an N.N.E.B qualified childcare provider, before starting my childminding business I worked as a nanny in many roles and a nursery nurse.
I compleated my 2 year diploma in childcare at Fareham college and was offered jobs in every work place position I took while training. Over the past 20 years I have gained a lot of experience in the early years. I have a portfolio with excellent references and most of my previous family’s are still close family friends. I also have two children of my own 17 and 15 who have brought me new challenges in my career! Allergies being the main one!
I offer a safe loving home from home environment, we learn through play and enjoy regular trips to the zoo, farm, singing classes and many many more.

My Experience
I started babysitting as young as 13 and it’s just continued from there, whilst training for my N.N.E.B we did 50% in placement, I worked in a nursery in the baby room then the preschool room. I also had family placements both roles led to a paid position. I also spent 6months at swanmore primary school working as a teachers assistant for year R.
I then took my first nanny job at an army barracks in Winchester I was a sole charge nanny for 3 children and loved every second of my time with this family. Due to being an army family the position could not last as long as I hoped and after 3 years they had to move on but luckily another army family took me on, again sadly after 18months this family were moved on. It was at this time I was starting to think about having my own family so I decided to set up childminding, I’ve never looked back I’ve had so many families come through the door but the worst part of this job is the children grow up and no longer need childcare, I feel very lucky that each family chose me to care for their child and each and everyone of them has a special place in my life.
During my years I have experienced fussy eaters, potty training, allergies, everything you could imagine. I’m still learning lots every day, every child is an individual and needs to be cared for accordingly.
