About Me
Hi, my name is Marraine Cooke, I love working with babies/ children and I have childcare qualifications as well as experience. I completed my MNT maternity nurse training in 2019 and this has given the extra tools for when working with babies. I have a genuine love for working with babies, children and families and this shows in my work ethic and personality. I am trustworthy, reliable, friendly and caring and have references that would support this. I have the ability to work sole charge, giving parents the time, they need to spend time together and/or down time. As well as the skill to noticed when they want to spend some alone time as a family, making myself scarce but available if needed. I feel that I am the best person for a Maternity nurse job, as I am a qualified counsellor and through this training, I have learnt to be mindful of others, not force my opinions, staying calm and being supportive of parents and when joining a new family these skills are great quality to have.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience in childcare. I have worked in Nurseries, homes and in schools. During my experience of being a nanny, I have worked both sole charge and shared.
I have hands on experience in overall new-born care, including establishing routine, bathing, sterilising, feeding and changing. I have worked with new-borns -12 years old in nannying and 11- 18 in secondary schools (counselling/therapy).
I have experience working with twins and happy to gain more experience with multiples.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Maternity Nursing from £21.00 per hour (gross)
For the babysitting fee doesn't include taxi fare for on my journey home.
For the Maternity nurse fee, A set fee can be negotiated for a 24 hour bookings.
