About Me
My name is Sara and I am a CIW registered childminder based in Broughton. I live with my 2 children, my son who was born in 2010 and my daughter who was born in 2018. I live in a 3 bedroom house with a fully enclosed garden, I have artificial grass and an outside covered area which was built in 2020 to encourage more outside play all year. There is also a park up the road. I have a wide range of toys and equipment available to stimulate the education needs of the children within my care and I aim to provide activities to encourage each child’s personal development through play whilst having fun as well. My aim is to create a happy, stimulating, caring and secure environment.
I can take children to local toddler groups, soft play, nature walks, library and parks. I can provide local school/nursery pick ups. I can offer fresh nutritious home cooked meals, snacks and breakfasts.
My Experience
I have experience with looking after children of all ages, as part of my work experience within high school I chose to undertake a placement within two primary schools. In addition, whilst at high school, I completed a GCSE in child development where I was required to complete observations on a young child. I went on to have my son in December 2010 and have therefore gained extensive experience with caring for a child at different stages of development. My son was diagnosed with ADHD and Autistic traits. I have been on various parent courses providing information and techniques for how best to support children with ADHD, Autism and children with sensory processing disorders. In April 2018 I had my daughter, this has given me recent experience with caring for a baby.

CYPOP 5 course
11GCSEs A - C grade this includes - Child development - A Grade
Parent courses - ADHD, Autism, Sensory processing disorders
CCLD Level 2 - waiting to start level 3
Safeguarding
Level 2 food hygiene
Paediatric first aid qualified
I also have Catering & Business Qualifications and an Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate
My Availability
I'm available 7:30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, however I can be flexible too. Open to key workers.
