About Me
I am 36 years of age, I have worked as a childminder since February 2019. I live with my fiancé Marc and 2 son’s Leo and Louie. In February 2018 I gave birth to my beautiful son and have enjoyed every moment of watching him grow and develop. I therefore decided not to return to my full time employment and become a childminder where I can still spent time with my son but also support and help others grow and develop. In December 2022 I gave birth again to another beautiful son Louie. I have returned to work after giving birth but have my coworker Sam in my setting to help out too.
My Experience
I have been working as childminder since February 2019. I have looked after a number of children full and part time with ages ranging from 0-7 years old. I provide a home from home experience for the children I care for whilst monitoring and developing their progress. I have continued to develop myself whilst working with some inhouse online training courses, class room training sessions and webinars.
My last role involved working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, working closely with social workers, health visitors and medical professionals.
In 2015 I was given the opportunity by my employment to carry out training whilst working so I completed a night course where I gained level 2 and level 3 children in young workforce. I then was employed by an agency who give me the opportunity to go to a number of different nurseries within the local area. This gave me an opportunity to work with children from 0-5. I then continued my role within this industry and began working for Footsteps working within the Creche and coordinated different groups for the children.

My Availability
I am very flexible with my working hours. I have stated my working hours are from 7am - 7pm however if you require care before and after these times then message me to discuss these.
My working week currently is from Tuesday to Friday. I have some availability currently so please get in touch if you require any childcare!!

5* childcare with so much excitement and fun things for the children to do! Parker, my son has been going to Laura's since he was 9 month old and he has learnt so much.
During a day with Laura we receive lots of pictures and videos, plus teaches us/parker about his milestones and what his next steps are. The children are so lucky as Laura constantly does different things to keep the children entertained. I would definitely recommend Laura to anyone, such a kind person who evidently loves her job. Amazing price too in comparison to some nurseries/childcare settings.

Our daughter, Chloe, has been going to Little Explaura's for nearly 2 years now, since she was 6 months old, and we couldn't be happier with care she has received.
We get daily updates, photos and videos; I always have complete peace of mind that my daughter is safe and having the best time with her little group of friends. Laura plans endless activities for them all, indoors and outdoors (her garden is amazing!), aswell as frequent trips to the park, playgroups etc, and you can tell they love every minute of it! Laura often does themed weeks, making a real effort to teach the children about different things and places. My daughter's speech and confidence has developed so fast and I honestly think much of this is down to all the interaction and activities at Laura's.
Laura is kind, friendly and so patient, a real natural with children; my daughter felt instantly comfortable with "waura" as she calls her. She is very understanding and flexible if we occasionally have any last minute changes at work etc. My older daughter, aged 5, often goes to Laura's during the school holidays aswell, and then gets disappointed when it's time for back to school as she has had so much fun there! They have SO much to tell me about their day when I pick them up.
Ultimately the most important thing to me when I was looking for a childminder was finding a kind, caring person who my little girl felt comfortable and safe with, and we definitely struck gold finding Laura!

Laura is 100% 5* childminder with endless imagination for kids' entertainment, weekly topics and a huge array of activities for kids.
My daughter has been attending her settings for 18 months and her development dramatically improves after each visit.
Laura reports daily about activities they did, sends loads and loads of pictures and videos, plus follows government set development plan for each age group, and again reports back about development milestones my daughter has reached and if she needs any help to reach certain goals.
Before the lockdown Laura would take kids out and about to playgroups and different events created for kids, but what made me happy most of all, is that during lockdown, she manages to find things to do even indoors and in the garden (the garden's every inch is filled with kid's activity areas!)
We are very happy that we found such an amazing childminder and couldn't wish for anything better!
When you come to view her settings look at her son Leo, he is a testament to her work ( and genetics too of course :) ) - what a happy, chatty, active and so well developed (probably a year ahead in his development) boy he is! Laura has the same sunny personality and is very clever and caring woman. ❤️
