Fantastic, nurturing childminder

Our son started attending Janette's setting at 9 months old, he has been attending for over 3 months, we're really happy with how it's going and will be keeping him with Janette for as long as possible.

We knew as soon as we met Janette that she was the right person to take care of our son, from the first meeting she focused on building a bond with him and now when we drop him off in a morning he reaches for her and is happy to be there.

Our son has been developing well since starting with Janette. She is focussed on helping him develop in all areas through play and other creative activities! She has an excellent range of toys and activities including arts and crafts which leads to the cutest homemade cards which we really treasure. She also goes to various playgroups, the library and parks which means he gets plenty of stimulation and interest through the day.

Janette also offers a great variety of healthy home cooked meals and snacks that our son really enjoys which is something that was really important to us.

Her whole family has embraced having him and it truly does feel like he has a home from home, her boys are incredibly sweet with him and have built up such a lovely relationship and share in telling us about his day when we pick him up. Janette radiates calm and we are so happy we found her and would highly recommend her to others as well.

Kind, caring and calm, a fantastic childminder

We were lucky enough to find Janette when we did to be our then-13 month old's childminder. Our daughter and Janette had a great connection from day one, and there were no issues with her settling in. She was always excited to go to Janette's house everyday - her face would light up when we reached Janette's door as she realised where she was and she would start smiling instantly.

She had a lot of fun playing with Janette and her young sons, who are equally wonderful. Janette's place was always so peaceful and comfortable, and Janette radiates calmness. Our daughter would be out with Janette everyday at various playgroups or doing activities, such playing with musical instruments and arts & crafts. We were given some lovely homemade cards and pieces which she helped our daughter make, which we were very grateful to have as keepsakes.

Our daughter ate fantastic home-cooked and nutritious meals at Janette's, which was really important to me in my initial search for a childminder, and put my mind at ease knowing she was eating so well. She has really benefitted from a home-from-home setting at Janette's, and developmentally has came on leaps and bounds, particularly with her walking and speech, which is down to Janette.

Unfortunately, we have recently moved out of the area so have had to find new childcare arrangements for our daughter. Had it not been for the move, we would have had our daughter stay in Janette's care for as long as possible, as she had a great bond with Janette and family and it was tough for us to find alternative childcare arrangements when our daughter had been so happy at Janette's. In short, Janette has been a tough act to follow. We highly recommend and miss Janette!
