My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Nawal and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I re-located to Northfields, London, 5 years ago from Wiltshire, after marrying my husband. Prior to that I finished my studies in Gloucestershire, achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6 qualification). I also have 14 years of experience with a combination of both studying and working in childcare. Childcare is my passion which is the path I have followed for both education and career.
I truly believe children mirror those around them, therefore I know that a happy, loving and enthusiastic environment is essential for children to thrive and blossom.
I follow the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), this allows me to put an emphasis on outdoor play as children learn so much through being outdoors and exploring. Even with a simple activity such as a walk to the shops, I ensure your child will still be having fun whilst also learning at the same time! For example, doing a sound walk with the children, or talking about any objects they see on the way to the shops that are square shapes. Any chance is an opportunity for your child to learn through their play and having fun.
I am a happy and energetic person and I deliver a high standard of care. Your child’s well-being is my top priority and I ensure your child is coming to a comfortable and a happy setting. My aim is to deliver a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children, allowing them to develop, progress and thrive as they grow. I prefer a smaller setting as I feel this allows me to spend more time with each child, as this is vital to your child’s development.
I offer a range of activities from arts and crafts, physical exercise (healthy sized garden and park on our doorstep with activities ranging from ball to water and sand play), construction, small world, quiet reading and a mixture of adult and child led activities. I also believe following the children's lead in their play and extending on this is important as this boosts their self-confidence and emotional well-being.
My Experience
14 years of experience in childcare.
I started my journey into childcare straight after finishing secondary school. I obtained my level 3 child diploma whilst also working at placements alongside this. After achieving my level 3, I got offered a job at a private nursery. I was a childcare assistant in the baby room and soon after got promoted to toddler room lead. Responsibilities included; daily planning, responsible for key children who's progress I track throughout the term and also worked closely with their parents.
Following this, I took up work in a pre-school where I was a session coordinator looking after children from 2-5 years old. My job entailed delegating staff, school readiness activities, 1:1 with special needs children, organising termly planning as well as daily planning, tracking children’s learning journeys and writing up progress reports.
I left this job as I was moving to London and now progressing my career in childcare by becoming a childminder.

Our son started going to Nawal’s childcare setting when he was just over a year old, having previously attended a nursery for a couple of months before. He wasn’t getting the care we wanted from nursery and came across Nawal’s childcare - when we met Nawal we knew this would be the perfect setting for him. Moving our son to Nawal’s was the best decision we ever made, for both our son and for us as a family. It made going back to work for me much easier as I knew that he was in a stimulating, fun but calm, kind and very caring environment. Our son couldn’t be happier and actively looks forward to going to Nawal’s to see her, Amani, Eva and all his friends. He has flourished at Nawal’s and comes home happy, stimulated and well-fed. Nawal is unique in that she is extremely professional but also has a loving personal touch and clear affection for the children in her care. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Nawal’s childcare, and will be sending our younger son later this year.
Thank you for everything,
Rasha & Rohan

Choosing Nawal and team to look after our daughter was an easy decision, and the best we ever made! She’s been with Nawal for almost 2 years, and loves her and the team as family. She runs in with a smile, eats well, does lots of engaging activities and has made amazing friends. She’s flourished under wonderful care and the whole environment is homely and full of love. This made returning to work much easier for me, and it’s lovely to see the bond our daughter has with Nawal.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to send our Son, Archie. He loves his time with Nawal, Amani and Assiya and comes home happy, well fed and stimulated. It has made going back to work much easier knowing he is in the best possible hands. We can’t thank you enough.

Leo has been attending Nawal's since he was around 10 months old, he is now 2. Nawal and the rest of the team are so caring, so lovely, and have done wonders for Leo's confidence, development and overall happiness. I have 100% trust and confidence whenever Leo attends Nawal's, I never need to worry. Leo goes in so excited to see everyone and comes out with a huge smile on his face. You can tell the kids are so loved and so well cared for. A beautiful, safe and cosy environment with plenty of activities and things for the children to learn and do, never a dull moment! Nawal is very good at giving us feedback on how Leo is progressing and if there is anything we need to be aware of, it is so impressive how on top of everything they are and Leo always comes home well fed, stimulated, socialised and just generally so happy and sleeps so well! In particular, Leo's speech has come on such a long way and it is all down to Nawal's team. It was the best decision we ever made sending Leo here and we would like all our future children to attend. Thank you for everything Nawal.

Best decision ever! Nawal, Assiya and Amani are family to our daughter!
They have been taking care of our little girl since she was 10 months, and since day one, we felt at ease. They totally accommodated her needs and schedule!
She arrives there smiling and with open arms (not even looking back) and comes home smiling and saying their names!
The setting is amazing and the location couldn't be better by the park!
I can’t thank enough Nawal’s team and highly recommend them!

Our daughter has been looked after by Nawal, Assiya and Amani for over a year now, and it has been the best decision we could have made for her childcare.
They have such an incredibly homely and caring environment that our daughter arrives every day with a big smile on her face and leaves every day with that same big smile. Sometimes she often doesn’t want to leave!! We love the blend of the home family environment for our daughter as well as the mini nursery set up that they have. The garden and nursery building are so well tailored to the children, and the range of activities that our daughter gets to take part in is so extensive and well thought through. So much of our daughter’s development has been encouraged by her learning and experiences offered at Nawal’s.
We have found Nawal, Assiya and Amani so incredibly accommodating and tuned in to our daughter’s needs. From the early days of her joining and settling in, working with our daughter’s nap schedules, and tailoring the care for each child. We love receiving the regular updates and photos of what our daughter has been getting up to, as well as the app for tracking naptime and nappies. Our daughter has always loved the delicious home cooked meals that they provide too.
We cannot recommend this childminder enough!

Nawal's childcare is brilliant. Our daughter has been there since she was 9 months old.
Nawal and her team have created a warm, family atmosphere that the kids love. They do lots of different activities and keep us in the loop on everything they get up to. The whole team are really friendly and the kids love them!

We cannot recommend Nawal and her team enough. From the moment our son began attending her care in March 2020, we can see how he has thrived and is continuously well looked after. Nawal always responds promptly if I have any minor queries and her portal provides a daily update on everything from nap times to nappy changes!
It is a perfect mix between a home away from home whilst also providing an environment where he can develop alongside other toddlers.
Nawal and the other wonderful carers are nurturing and caring, as well as imaginative at creating fun activities for the children. They provide a well-balanced and nutritious menu every week. Our son regularly asks for his key worker Assiya, who is very popular with all the children!
From being initially shy and a little reserved, our son has since grown in confidence and his speech development has also improved dramatically. We are so impressed with the quality of care that we have decided to introduce our daughter part-time from this April when she turns 9 months. We are happy for Nawal to pass on my contact details should anyone need a recommendation. A

Our toddler has been with Nawal (and Assiya and Amani) for nearly a year now, and she is thriving in their care. She loves going every morning and is clearly very happy and well looked after. I feel relaxed and confident, and it feels like leaving her with friends or family. I can't recommend Nawal's highly enough.

I can't recommend Nawal's highly enough. My son started at Nawal's 7 months ago.
From the very beginning Nawal was informative and excellent at communicating. Nawal works with her mum and mother-in-law and all three childminders are extremely caring, nurturing and fun. They take a really interest in your child and really seem to love looking after all the little children in their care.
My son settled in really quickly with them. The setting is very homely. They have a play area, separate space for eating and a separate room for sleeping. They cook great food and my son always seems to have seconds or thirds! My son naps better at Nawal's than he does at home. I like the fact they don't do school pick ups which means the children's days aren't disrupted. They do fun activities throughout the day and I especially like the fact that the children go out in the garden and to Blondin park.
They use an app called 'Baby's Day' which they input information on, such as nap time and length, wet and soiled nappies, injury forms and meals. This is useful for having a quick look at during the day if you want to get a rough idea of their day. They also provide a handover when you pick your child up. The invoicing process is straight forward and they except tax free childcare options form HMRC.
I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about Nawal's. I highly recommend it.
