My Experience
I have extensive experience in childcare, having worked with children of various ages in different settings, from sole charge roles to placements during my Norland training. Here’s a brief summary:
Recent Roles:
March 2023 - July 2024: Provided sole charge care for two adopted children (ages 1 and 5) in a same-sex parent household. I managed daily routines, educational activities, playdates, school pick ups and meal planning.
September 2021 - December 2022: I cared for a 1-year-old girl, continuing on from my Norland NQN (newly qualified nanny) year. Responsibilities included meal preparation, educational outings, and establishing routines, with a focus on social skills and language development.
Previous Roles:
2019 - 2021: Sole charge of two children (ages 2 and 4) after school and during holidays for a bilingual family, enhancing their Spanish language skills.
2018 - 2019: Au pairing and proxy parenting roles, managing routines and activities for children aged 2 to 10.
2016 - 2017: Summer camp and event childcare roles, gaining diverse experience.
Training Experience:
Norland Training (2019 - 2021): Varied placements including newborn care, nursery work, and live-in family roles. I gained skills in managing routines, potty training, and supporting developmental milestones in children from infancy to early childhood.
