About Me
I grew up in Altrincham and had a tutor who supported me to pass the 11+ enabling me to go to Altrincham Girls Grammar School. It was this experience that made me passionate about becoming a teacher myself. I am now a fully qualified teacher with 10 years experience working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I am currently working part time in a Year 1 class at a high achieving school in Chorlton where expectations are high. I have lots of experience working with children with special educational needs after working for a year in a specialist school. I love working with children, especially 1:1 and in small groups. In my spare time I enjoy running, cooking and spending time with my twin boys.
My Experience
Over the last 10 years I have worked in education and have developed a passion for helping children reach their full potential, develop their confidence and make learning fun. I managed a private tuition company in Altrincham called Explore Learning for 3 years and then completed a PGCE becoming a Primary School teacher in 2015. Since then I have worked in both mainstream and specialist primary schools supporting children with a range of needs. I have over 2 years experience of private tutoring working with small groups and 1:1 supporting young learners prepare for phonics screening, KS1 SATs, KS2 SATs and 11+. I offer both face to face and online tutoring. I am available for home schooling sessions as well as tutoring.
My Qualifications
2:1 BA Hons in Business Management and a PGCE primary teaching degree qualification with QTS in 2015
My Availability
Monday (after school), Tuesday all day including after school/evenings (in person or via Zoom) and Sunday morning. Face to face or Zoom sessions are available . An initial meet would be offered on a 1:1 basis to establish your child's individual needs.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £40.00 per hour
£40 an hour for 1:1 tutoring, £40 for groups of 2 (£20 per child) £45 for groups of 3 (£15 per child) or £50 (£12.50 per child) for groups of 4.
