We are looking to employ a 1:1 for our nearly 4 year old son, who is a wheelchair user. Initially the role is to support him at preschool 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 08:15-15:45 with the view to transition to primary school with him in September on either a part or full time basis. Our son does not have any learning or cognitive needs. He’s a very bright and cheeky 3 year old, he just uses a wheelchair and needs help to get around.

The role will involve accompanying him to school and supporting him with his physical needs. All training will be given, there is no need to have a care background. The most important thing for us is personality fit and that you are physically fit and strong as this role will involve a lot of manual handling. We are looking for someone with a positive energy and can do attitude!

This is a 22.5hr a week contract initially, but for the right person there is the possibility of more hours subject to discussion. The hourly rate of pay is between £12.50-£13.45, and the contract includes holiday pay so it ends up working out more per hour than this and workplace pension. It can be term time only or year round.
