About Me
Hi I’m Jasmeet, I am a third year university student studying Early Childhood Studies and Health Studies, hoping to become a primary school teacher after completing a PGCE. I consider myself to be a friendly and approachable person and I work really well with children, hopefully you’ll agree too :). I love to set out activities for children and letting them enjoy their time too. I have also had contact with children with whom I do not share the same language with and was still able to spend three weeks with them as they too enjoyed playing games, arts and crafts. Also, being up to date with cartoons due to siblings is actually helpful I found!
My Experience
My experience with children started with growing up amongst five younger siblings so I’ve had a hand in their upbringing. Being a part of a big family has always meant having children around myself and so at the age of 15, I did a two week work experience with my primary school and absolutely loved working with younger children. I have also worked in a nursery in London, on a weekly basis, as part of my Level 3 Health and Social Care which I completed in a year rather than two. As part of one of my modules in year two of university, I did a two week placement as William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, working in the Padua ward with children. Where I carried out several activities with the children there to make their time at the hospital a little less stressful. I have worked in a nursery for almost a year as bank staff which is the same as cover staff, along with my university schedule. I also have a DBS with my current workplace and am on the update system.

I am currently working towards my BSc Joint Honours in Early Chilhood Studies and Health Studies.

My Availability
I have university Monday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday mornings. I am looking for something mostly on weekends but can also work during the week, when I’m not at university.
