About Me

Hello,

I am an enthusiastic, patient and engaging primary teacher with experience teaching in the Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I am familiar with the National Curriculum for all primary ages. I am also able to support your child with preparing for their 11+ entrance exams.

I am a Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and can support children who have been diagnosed with dyslexia/ are showing potential traits of dyslexia in order to support and address any gaps in their learning or any specific areas which they may require more help with. I can use any formal reports or my own assessments to help create a personalised plan of support for your child.

If you feel your child could benefit from one to one or small group tuition from a qualified teacher then I am here to help. I aim to nurture a love of learning through offering the highest quality private Maths and English tuition for primary school pupils. I strive to nurture a love of learning and therefore my tuition sessions are taught in a fun and motivating way that children enjoy and look forward to attending. Additionally, tuition is specifically tailored to each child’s learning needs and every class is planned to support each child.

I have experience of working with children who have sat 11+ and entrance exams and can provide tuition for this.

I also have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification and have experience of teaching abroad so can also support the learning of English, including speaking, reading and writing skills, to both children and adults.

I have been tutoring alongside working as a teacher for over 9 years and I ensure that all my sessions are tailored to the specific needs to the child or adult I am working with. I have experience of working with and supporting children with SEND. I am currently running both online and face to face tuition and have slots available for 1:1 or small group tuition. I am based in Horley and provide my own resources. I am also able and happy to discuss with parents ways in which you can support your child at home.

I do have a few slots available during the day to support any learners who are home educated. I can also help by supporting a pre-school child before they begin school.
