About Me
I am a very gentle patient person. I am creative and enjoy most things crafty but also enjoy physical activities such as walking and trampolining. I love reading and meeting up with friends for coffee. I am very much a peoples kind of person . I have a very good relationship with the children in my care and friends children. 3 of whom I have known all their life. I enjoy doing a variety of activities with them including taking them out to places like trampolining, parks, the cinema and slso do fun things indoor including games, jigsaws, crafts and messy play.
My Experience
I have worked within nurseries for 17 years. As a nursery nurse. Presently i work in a respite unit for childen with additional needs. I have also done voluntarry work over the years with all age of children. During my time as a nursery nurse i worked mainly with children aged 0 to 2 but I also worked with all other ages including afterschool aged children. Currently I care for children with complex needs and these needs vary massivly. I am competant in peg feeding, makaton, moving and handling, dealing with challenging behaviour and im competant in dealing with medication.
My Qualifications
I am qualified as a nursery nurse and also an hnc in social care. I have makaton training, peg feeding training, moving and handling training and have done training on sensory play, downes syndrome,dealing with difficult epelepsy and autism training.
My Availability
I would need to give 4 weeks notice but after that I can be flexible depending on the needs.
