My Summary

My Experience

I have one years worth of experience teaching children with autism 1:1 in a school setting.
I then spent just under 2 years working in a residential home with a number of children with disabilities.
I'm most experienced with autistic, non-verbal teenagers who emit behaviour that challenges and have low cognitive ability. However do have some experience with verbal children with ADHD and high anxiety disorders.
During this time I had experience working with two unique young people:
One of which I worked with as their PA after school, had autism and epilepsy, which resulted in a very niche level of need. They were non-verbal and had roughly 3-5 seizures a day, ranging in severity.
The other young person was also autistic and non-verbal, but also blind with minimal motor ability, and took many medications.

My Qualifications

- Physical and mental health first aid including CPR training.
- 10 GCSEs & 3 A-Levels.
- First class honours degree in Psychology with professional development.
- Safeguarding, GDPR, PREVENT, H&S.
- Child and care Diploma Level 4
- Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Comprehensive Application of Behaviour Analysis to Schooling (CABAS) training
- MAPA (safety restrictive holds).
- Positive behaviour support (PBS).

My Availability

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I am not currently seeking a long-term commitment. However I do miss working with young people and would enjoy the occasional shift after school or during the weekend.

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
