Hi, my name is Lisa. I’m a registered childminder with an outstanding grading. My last inspection was June 22. I live in the Gedling area with my husband and children. I have over 22 years experience of working with children. I previously worked as a nursery nurse in a day nursery for 4 years. I also worked for the NHS within the health visiting team as a community nursery nurse for 12 years. I’m NVQ level 3 trained and have all the relevant first aid and safeguarding training. I provide a loving, caring, fun, home from home stimulating environment in which children can thrive. We love going on outings to local parks, woods to do den building or picking berries. We spend a lot of time outdoors and like to grow fruit and vegetables in the garden. We go to lots of Playgroup’s, singing and music sessions throughout the week which the children love. We like to attend our local library to choose our favourite books. I have a large garden with lots of outdoor equipment. I provide all home cooked meals and snacks. A healthy lunch and evening meal are included in my fees. I do before and after school pick up for All Hallows’ school in Gedling. I use tapestry to record all the children’s development in which you can access to review their progress. I have spaces available for January 23. Entrusting a stranger with your child is one of the hardest decision you have to make as a parent, but from the moment I met Lisa I just knew my daughter was in safe hands.
The environment Lisa provides is a fun, creative, stimulating, caring and enjoyable one. Emilia loves attending and can’t wait to get through the door in the morning. No two days are the same, I love seeing what Emilia has been up too through photos from baking, reading, painting, learning about the world around us and lots more. Emilia has CMPA (dairy free) which Lisa adapts meals to suit making sure even when baking Emilia can take home a dairy free treat. Emilia’s development over the last 9 months has been impressive from her speech to her understanding of what is being said to her, Lisa has been a big part of this.
I would highly recommend Lisa she is outstanding.

My daughter, Georgie has only been with Lisa for a couple of weeks and I already know we have made the right decision. Georgie has settled in so quickly and gets excited when we pull up at Lisa’s house which is such a relief. Lisa has really put our minds at ease and I love getting little updates of all the fun things Georgie has been up to in the day. I already know Georgie will continue to get excited for her days with Lisa which definitely makes going back to work a tiny bit easier!

Lisa currently looks after my oldest in wrap around care before and after school, ever since he started with Lisa he has absolutely loved it there. The care Lisa provides is amazing and it's clear that she is completely invested in every single child that she looks after. My son always does lots of different activities at Lisa's from sunflower growing competitions in the summer, to making valentines biscuits and home made pizzas more recently. He loves playing with the other children and is always reluctant to leave. Lisa is really flexible too and has an option for a later pick up but will also provide tea if it's needed. My daughter starts school in September and she is already talking about going to Lisa's! Just can't recommend her enough!

Lisa has cared for our two children since September 2016, for both day and school wrap-around and has been BRILLIANT. Lisa has provided an excellent service; a super balance of routine and variety, discipline and nurture, education and lots of fun. It was important to us that the outdoors play a big part in their time with her and walks to school, time in the woods, trips to the park and lots of garden time with fun and imaginative equipment have meant that she has met this requirement in an abundance. Lisa has provided a really personal service and has understood and catered for their individual needs and interests.
Our youngest is with her as a pre-schooler and we receive lots of photos and a diary so we can see what he has been up to. He NEVER wants to leave at pick up time - he has so much fun and has made some lovely friends. Our daughter started with her as pre-schooler and now goes before/after school and in the school holidays. She too has made some great friends and really enjoys her time there. For her recent birthday, she put the birthday card from Lisa next to those from us, her brother and grandparents because 'Lisa is like my family' (cards from her friends were displayed separately.)
It is only a change in our circumstances that we will no longer need to send our children to Lisa, from September. We know that we will be sad to be saying goodbye to Lisa as a childminder, come September-time, but confident that she will remain a friend to the family who has contributed significantly to the great start in life both our children have been given. Thank you Lisa - we cannot recommend you highly enough.
