About Me
Billy and Alice are looking for someone to care for their three children - Olive (6), Sonny (4), Pascoe (8m/o). Billy manages the family farm and forestry business and is in and out of the office in the house. Alice co-owns a small design agency, based in London and is able to work from home a lot of the time but would like to return to working in London for 2 or 3 days/week, every other week, when possible.
The farm is in the hills just outside Llangollen - a busy tourist town on the River Dee, which has lots of local amenities including a number of pubs, supermarkets, a deli and a doctor’s surgery. There are beautiful walks and activities to do in the immediate surroundings. Wrexham (14 miles) and the beautiful, historic Chester (25 miles) boast leisure centres, cinemas and many great restaurants and bars and are within a 30-minute drive. There are also good transport links to Manchester, Liverpool and London.
My Requirements
We are urgently seeking childcare support for our household at our home just outside Llangollen, with a lovely garden and facilities. The role is primarily focused on caring for the baby, with the possibility of some light household tasks during nap times.
We are a young, active, happy family, living in a beautiful rural location in the hills of North Wales. The role would suit a country-loving, active, reliable, flexible person who has a genuine interest in children and their development. The role would be a mix of shared/sole charge due to the parents’ work commitments. The family own a small, friendly dog.
Full clean driving license, current DBS, up-to-date paediatric first aid and recent references required. Candidate must have a good command of the English language.
Self-contained accommodation, good salary and flexible hours/holidays for the right candidate. Some possibility of travel. Use of a car on duty. Salary depends on age and experience.
Day-to-day
Working 8 - 5pm (flexible)
Billy or Alice generally take Olive and Sonny to school, away from the house between 8am and 9:15am.
Between now and the summer holidays - 18/07 - the role is mainly to look after the baby while Olive and Sonny are at school until 3:30pm or 4:30pm depending on after school clubs
A bonus would be for the nanny to pick them up from school but this is not essential
During the summer holidays, the nanny will be required to look after the three children between 8:30am and 4:30pm (flexible)
Alice can help cook and prepare meals and monitor the baby while he sleeps, if it means the older two can be outside or doing an activity
Flexible Hours: Ideally 8am - 4:30pm, but we’re happy to adjust for the right candidate.
Duration: Minimum 3 months
Accommodation: Live-in option available if needed.
If you're experienced, reliable, and available at short notice, we’d love to hear from you.
