About Me
I offer face to face and online session for children who need an extra boot in their learning.
Tutoring is something I really enjoy. I love making my sessions fun and interactive and always like to include lots of games in my sessions.
I have a light hearted approach to my sessions as I want children to feel as comfortable as possible. I want them to understand that it is ok not to know an answer and it’s ok to give something a go without worrying about being wrong. I like to praise effort as well as achievements
I understand that not all children are the same and that not everyone learns in the same way. I like to get to know the children I work with and talk to them to gain their views and find out the best way of working for them.
Regular communication with parents is important. I regularly check in with phone calls, messages and emails to keep parents informed of how their child is doing.
I am happy to have an informal chat with anyone who is looking for some sessions for their child and also offer a free taster session.
My Experience
I have been tutoring for over 8 years now l, helping children who just need a little boost or those who are working towards a specific goal.
I have a degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice and have experience of working in primary schools and early years settings.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice and an NVQ Level 3 in Playwork.
My Availability
I am available after school currently and beginning April will be available during the day.
