About Me
Hi all, Im Carrie and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Kingsholm, Gloucester that offers childcare for Early Years children and School drop off and pick ups from Kingsholm CofE Primary School. I have 4 children 3 of whom live at home, a cat called Gizmo and a small dog called Bruce. I am a home from home setting. I like to take the children out in the mornings and visit soft plays, play groups, local parks, libraries etc, we like outdoor play and love having adventures in local woods and places further afield like Slimbridge, we do seasonal activities like strawberry picking, pumpkin hunts etc, I also take the children to a care home once per week for them to interact with the residents which the children and residents both love. We return to the setting in the afternoon and do activities, these can range from craft, yoga or just a good old play, we love to sing, dance and have fun. I encourage children's learning through their own curiosity and through fun activities. I’m not only here to look after your child but I am also here to support parents whenever they need it, I am pretty flexible when a parent needs flexibility and have good relationships with all my parents. The setting is open 48 weeks throughout the year. I accept funding for all that are eligible and encourage parents to use Government schemes like Tax Free Childcare as every penny helps.

My daughter has been coming to Carrie's since 2022 at 1 year old.
As someone who moved here and knew few people, I would describe Carrie as our "Village". I have peace of mind knowing that Sophie is with someone who cares for her very much, and Carrie not only cares but is really thorough and helpful.
An example week for my daughter:
Monday: Slimbridge/Gruffalo Trail/Robinswood/Singing group
Tuesday: Goes to a Playgroup
Wednesday: Goes to another playgroup
Thursday: Spends time at a care home
Friday: Arts and Crafts
My daughter is a confident little girl, she socialises really well and her speech is brilliant and I 100% believe that Carrie is part of that.
