About Me
I am looking for a PA for my son Dexter, who is 13 years old. He has Angelman syndrome, which often displays as autistic style traits. He loves people but his communication skills can be a barrier for him. He is very happy doing a range of activities and likes one to one adult support. Ideally, I am looking for someone to look after him for three hours after school on two or three weekdays each week, especially Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. One or two evenings or weekend-end days now and again would also be great. Dexter is a sociable, smiley boy with complex needs, who loves nothing more than a good laugh and talking about pets. The job would be at Dexter’s home in central Brighton. We could be flexible with times and location if this helps. The person needs to be physically active to help Dexter around the house or out on trips. They need to be committed and reliable as he needs a regular routine.
You will be paid the recommended rate monthly of £12.70 via the Direct Payments system (this can be discussed further). This system requires the PA to have their DBS check.

Extra hours also possible on either Monday evenings / weekends / half terms or other occasional evenings.
