About Me
With a degree in Primary Education, I have experience teaching children in the early years to KS4. I offer tutoring and home school support in English, maths, science, humanities and exam prep including 11+ and GCSE's. I offer online lessons via virtual classroom and face-to-face lessons from my home in Hartlepool. I have my own business, Amelia Parker Private Tuition, which offers online and face-to-face lessons covering EYFS to GCSE. Along with myself, I also have a range of experienced tutors available to accommodate students to reach their full potential.
My Experience
Following completion of A-Levels in History, English Literature and Health and Social Care, I began my career in education through obtaining a degree in primary education, specialising in the arts and humanities. I have taught children ranging from 4-16 in addition to gaining experience in EAL, SEN and training in BR@P and Prevent. I have further experience as a nursery nurse and a childminders assistant focusing on preparing early years children for school.
Throughout this time, I have developed a child-centred approach to teaching by observing the child and tailoring to their individual needs based on personality, learning style and level. I now tutor full- time and enjoy working 1:1 with my students to support them to achieve their best and inspire them on a personal and academic level. It excites me to see how energetic and motivated a learner can become once they gain an understanding in a topic that I have taught.
My Qualifications
I have a BA degree in primary education. In addition, I am first aid trained and have taken part in several other courses; prevent training, child protection, BR@P training and online courses such as, food and hygiene.

Amelia has been working with my daughter for the past four years and I would highly recommend her tutoring services. Amelia is an empathetic, encouraging and passionate tutor who goes above and beyond to make education exciting for a child. She is extremely considerate and curious, adapting her approach to a child's needs while making sure to clearly communicate ideas and goals to the parent.
My daughter loves her lessons with Amelia and it has been wonderful to see how her learning and confidence has come on. Amelia is reliable, professional and a joy to communicate with. We hope to continue our learning relationship when my youngest become a suitable age. I cannot speak highly enough of Amelia as she has really made a difference to my child's life and education and I hope you opt to enjoy the same experience.
