About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder located in the Cheam area. I have experience of looking after children as nanny as well as having 2 children of my own, son 13 and daughter 10.
The child's happiness and development is my number one goal.
My home is set up as a mini nursery where children are taken out most days to experience the natural environment and connect to all aspects of nature,observing squirrels,identifying plants,flowers and trees and ensuring they have a fun time. Within the home they have access to rich learning resources to support each child's age and development. I provide homecooked meals daily with lots of fruit, vegetables and cater for vegetarians and vegan diets. I have an enclosed garden for outdoor play with slides, wendy house, messy play area and toy cars.
I am a Bristol University Theology Graduate who has worked as an Area Bank Manager in London. I therefore have good organisational skills which I can utilise to help with planning learning journals which is an a great reminder of the happy times they have spent with us.
My Experience
I have experience of looking after children from 6 months until they go to school. I have cared for identical and non identical twins.
I love the outdoors,enjoy camping,walking and cycling.
I am an active helper at my local church and children's school.
I have an assistant who has many years experience as a childminder and nanny.

Our boy had the best year with Debs and Barbara. They cared for him so well, always making us feel like part of the family. He went in happily every morning and especially enjoyed exploring outdoors. He was made delicious food that he always had seconds of and there were plenty of toys for him to play with. He still asks every morning if he is going to see them. Very missed!

Debs and Barbara cared for my twin boys from when they turned 1 until they were just over 3. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for them to grow and develop. The confidence and progress they made whilst there was testament to the homely and caring environment Debs provides. I couldn't recommend them highly enough if you are looking for a childminder for your little one.

Debs is such a great childminder and we could not have wished for anyone better. We knew she was right from the moment we met her. She looked after our daughter for close to two years. She is so kind and caring. She has a lovely home, and a beautiful setting to look after the children, with an abundance of toys and learning materials. My daughter loved going to Debs and really bonded well with her. If you are looking for a childminder then Debs will be perfect. She will look after your child with love and care just as you would do yourself. I highly recommend her.

My child has been under the care of Debs and Barbara for over a year, and I couldn't be more pleased with the care provided.
The level of care and attention given to my child is outstanding. Debs and Barbara go above and beyond to ensure my child's needs are met, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for his growth and development from day 1. They ensured me even from the first day that my little one was in good hands. I recommend them to any parent seeking reliable childcare. As a first-time mum and someone who did not have any experience with British childcare, I am grateful for the amazing experience and the positive impact they've had on my child's life and feel fortunate to have found such wonderful childminders.

Debs & Barbara looked after our son for a year and we were extremely happy while he was in their care. Debs was excellent at providing updates and photos, as well as a learning journal which has been a lovely keepsake to look back on. Our little one did lots of fun activities and outings to the park, aswell as playing in the garden. Barbara provides nutritious home made meals, and I always felt he was very well cared for. I would highly recommend :-)

Debs has looked after my daughter since she was 1 and she is now 3 yrs old and she still picks her up after nursery one day a week. She also has my son (6 year old) after school. Both kids have always loved going to Debs' house. They do lots of fun activities and get outdoors every day (weather permitting!)
The setting is very much a warm family home, with plenty of toys and a nice garden to play in.
Debs is very good at communicating and keeping us updated on how the kids are doing and what they've been up to. She is caring, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her as a childminder.

Debbie and Barbara looked after our son from 10 months to 3 years old, throughout the pandemic and lockdowns. We later sent our 6 month old daughter until she was 1.
Debbie was so flexible and considerate to our needs. She always kept us informed and so supportive to our children and us as parents, especially if our children were unsettled at drop off, she always would let us know they were okay shortly after!
Our children thrived here and absolutely loved going to Debbie's home. She kept brilliant records with artwork and pictures of them doing activities.
I have recommended Debbie to numerous friends as we as a family have had such a great experience with her, can't recommend her enough!

We sent our daughter since she was 6 months old. Now she is 2 years. Our child never had any problem adjusting to the setting. Always happy to go and we are peaceful sending her as well. Debs and her mom ensured the kids go out to the nearby parks for fresh air. They planned multiple activities for the rest of the day. Very accomodating to food preferences and all the picky eating phases of my daughter. All the communication has been very professional.
We were extremely lucky to find Debs. I highly recommend.

We are so thankful that we found Debs to look after our son. As first time parents it is always nerve-racking trying to find someone to care for your child, but we were put at ease as soon as we met Debs. Our son was 11 months when he started with Debs and he settled in so quickly and we could tell that he was well looked after and always had fun, busy days. He enjoyed playing in the garden and playing with the other kids and always ate good, healthy meals. Debs is kind, caring and attentive and our son loved her and her family. We wish we could have brought her with us when we moved away. We miss her very much! Anyone would be lucky to have Debs as their childminder. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our boy!

We can't recommend Debs highly enough! She has cared for our two children, aged 6 and 8, for 5 months a couple of afternoons a week. Our kids absolutely love going (often wishing they could stay longer!!) - they always come home with big smiles on their faces. Debs always goes that extra mile and tries to help us out when we need extra care, which we are very grateful for. It never feels like we're leaving the kids with a childminder, but rather a friend!
